Kate Hudson Scores A Nine

katehudwson.jpgThe cast for Rob Marshall's flim adaptation of hit Broadway musical Nine is looking better and better.

Kate Hudson has just signed on for a leading role in the story about a famous film director Guido Contini, who must balance all the ladies in his life while making his latest movie. But how about this? Kate's role as  Stephanie, American writer for Vogue, wasn't even in the original Broadway show. Rob created it especially with the star in mind.

"[Hudson's] revelatory skills as a singer and a dancer lead to the creation of the role," Rob said in a statement.

Kate is in very good company, as some big names are already connected to this film; Daniel Day Lewis will play Gudio, while Nicole Kidman, Penélope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Judi Dench and Sophia Loren are just a few of the ladies that will be singing and dancing alongside Kate.

The film is set to begin filming this October in London.

She is so beautiful when she dresses up. When she doesn't, she looks like crap. She has taken singing and dancing lessons before so I'm sure it won't be too hard for her.

Congratulations Kate!

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think her acting skills can hold a candle to the rest of the actors in this film! Rob Marshall should have stuck with the original characters & left Kate Hudson out.
