Ryan O'Neal & Son Arrested For Drug Possession
Drug abuse is not something you want to run in your family -- but sometimes it just does.
Ryan O' Neal and his son with Farah Fawcett, Redmond, were arrested today at their home, on suspicion of meth possession. Cops were doing a standard police search of the home, related to Redmond's probation, when they found drugs on the 24-year-old, and a vial in his father's bedroom.
Redmond was arrested last year for possession of heroin and meth while driving under the influence. As part of his plea, he was sentenced to three years of probation. Ryan was also arrested last year on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm, when a shot was fired while he was arguing with another son, Griffin. Also, Ryan's daughter, Tatum O'Neal, was arrested in NYC back in June, when she allegedly tried to buy crack and cocaine on the street.
Not good at all.
Ryan and Redmond are currently being held on $10,000 bail.
UPDATE: Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore confirms to E! News that both men "have bonded out," getting released from police custody after posting $10,000 apiece. They are due to appear in court on Nov. 13.

Aww how sweet.....nothing like a father that's involved in his child's life. Lord what a freakin winner. I mean, I know everyone is human & makes mistakes (blah blah blah) but to n enable your child's addiction AND, bonus, to participate with him/her.......gee thanks Dad. And people wonder why Tatum is a drug addicted freak....HELLO! Not to mention Farrah's numerous wacky televison appearances. This gives the saying "The family that plys together, stays together" a whole new meaning. Get it together Ryan, you're supposed to be a good role model for your kids...not the pusher man. LOSER
Ryan grow up. You're too old for this. Put yourself and your 2 sons in rehab. All 3 of you need help. GROW UP and be a man!!!!!
Not that I am sticking up for Ryan... but you should consider that Ryan is just as addicted as his son is!!
Just the latest in a long line of things that show he is not a good guy. He's battered his ex wife and kids and i just hope this gets him clean but im not holding my breath
I’m not surprised. But I find it really sad about Redmond - his mother has enough on her plate right now, she didn’t need this added on. I hope he is thinking seriously about going in a Drug Detox.
