I am an Angelina fan for sure but I think that it's weird to be buying him these things if they aren't properly secured. Famous or not, they have a responsibility to keep their children safe. I'm sure that they are locked up in display cases that Maddox doesn't even have the keys to. I like that she is introducing him to different things. I would imagine that she'll even do the same for her girls. I just love Angelina. She is so unpredictable and mesmerizing. She always keeps me at bay with baited breath. More murders are committed with those than any other knife type. Honestly, she could just be buying them to put in a display case so they can look at it. Just because she's purchasing them, doesn't mean she's going to teach him how to shank somebody!

I know plenty of young kids who have knife and sword collections neatly displayed in a lighted case and it's gorgeous!

well.. beside if outdoor hunting or fishing is okay have the knife.. but at home situation with alot 6 kids, maddox carry playing with the knife. that is not safety.. concerning issue!!

Well, since it's Angie, it must okay...something akin to the Holy Grail even! Maybe everyone should buy their kids knives sicne the Mother of The Century is doing it! Oh, and don't forget to stock up on the empty vials, too, so that they can fill them with whoever's blood. Wonder if they practice french-kissing their siblings like Angie does as well?

Oh my, oh my, oh my!! Weapons are only dangerous if the person using them is dangerous. It seems that these kids are more well adjusted and spend more time with their parents one on one than many of our non-celebrity children. Since Angelina has an obvious grasp on the reality of our world and the dangers within, being an ambassador and all, she probably is aware of the hazards of using sharp objects improperly. Let's cut her a little bit of slack and take a look at ourselves before we go slandering. She may be eccentric and she may have done some VERY strange things in the past, but who of us can say we don't regret something or things we've done in our teens or early twenties?

Wow I can't believe how offended some of you are. I am also a collector of daggers. My parents bought my first one for me when I was about ten. And I can promise you that I didn't "shank" anyone or "cut" any small children seesh. It's about the beauty of it. I'm sure for Maddox sharing that with his mom is something special. And I'm sure Angie was just as smart as my parents and taught him safety precautions as well.

It just goes to show you that Angelina Jolie has a very sick sick mind. It wouldn't surprise me if she isn't the one that teaches him how to have sex. eewwww. I had a katana sword collection from when I was 6. My father who passed away when I was young collected them and gave me some too. We would watch martial arts movies together all the time. I miss him and I can see why Angie who misses her mom would want to rekindle that bond with her son. It's alot safer than loose kitchen knives because they come with leather sheaths/pouches and can be put away in glass cases or hung up high on the walls for decoration. We also had arabic saber swords and daggers, they were breathtaking but no one was allowed to touch them or we'd be on punishment lol.

So what?? When my son was 7 years old, he was given some pocket knives by his father (who no longer lives with us). He did this so our son has something special from his father, where he can think of him when he's not around. Not my favorite choice of items BUT my son has been taught that they are not toys and that are to be handled with care. He is now 10 years old and he has shown that he can be trusted with items such as these, as he has not sustained one little injury from them. You just have to teach your child to be responsible with these items, as you do with so many other things in life. Teaching from a responsible parent usually means a responsible child.
