Britney Spears Reflects on Her Past: "What the Hell Was I Thinking?"
This is gonna be good!
Britney Spears has filmed a new documentary for MTV, in which the pop star reflects on the crazy past few years and tells us how she really feels about what went on.
"I sit there and I'll look back and I'm like: I'm a smart person. What the hell was I thinking?" Brit reveals in the 90-minute film, For the Record.
"Sometimes I think I get kind of lonely because you don't open the gate up that much, you know I mean?" she adds. "You're guarded. You have to be that way, so I'm kind of stuck in this place and it's like: How do you deal? And you just cope, and that's what I do. I just cope with it, every day."
The documentary includes behind-the-scenes footage of Brit in the recording studio, rehearsing, shooting her video for "Womanizer" and even at home in Louisiana. We'll also get to see what her awesome night at the MTV VMAs was really like for her.
"So much has gone on over the last couple of years and there's a lot that people don't know about me that I want them to know," Brit told MTV news in a statement about the special. "I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn't being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in. This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I've been through and where I'm headed."
You can see a clip from the show on MTV.com, and the doc will run in it's entirety on Nov. 30 -- two days before Brit's new album, Circus, is released. The day also happens to be the comeback kid's 27th birthday.
Will you watch? I am psyched!
