DWTS Misty May-Treanor Hurt
Dancing with the Stars may be out another contestant before the show even airs tonight.
Olympic gold-medalist Misty May-Treanor was injured on Friday during rehearsal, ABC confirmed to Usmagazine.com.
"Misty May-Treanor sustained an injury on Friday and received immediate medical attention," the network said in a statement. "Despite previous reports, she did not break her ankle. She is resting comfortably at home. Doctors will reevaluate her condition on Monday and determine the outcome of her participation on the show."
Misty, a kick-ass volleyball player, is partnered with pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy in the competition.
I think the chances are slim that she would go all the way anyway (I mean, she has a bunch of gold medals -- does she really need that stupid disco ball?), but it sucks to be taken out before you're ready. Let's hope she's not done for the season.

I love Maks and missed him last season but there is zero chemistry with him and Misty. Leaving the show won't hurt it except it will give Cloris one more week. This is the weakest season yet. Also, too many commercials, dragging the show out too long. Stacy is great and was so good on So You Think You Can Dance but I hope this doesn't open up this show to pull away from "Ballroom" dancing. There's enough reality shows out there. DWTS is a hit..............quit changing it.
I also agree that there is little chemistry between Maks and Misty, but I think it horrible that she is out of the competition. She was dedicated and seem to be have fun out there. I think they should let her compete next year. What if this broken ankle takes her out of volleyball for ever. Now that would NOT be Lovely!!!!
Don't like Misty, so I do not care if she comes back. She's stiff as a board. Not feminine at all. And while we're on the subject, Maks needs to go too. Too big of an ego.
I LOVE Maksim, he is the only reason I watch... I didn't watch last season... Please Misty be OK.....
In response to all of the Misty bashing, I think that she was doing an excellent job and was actually improving substantially week over week. She might not have taken the gold home in Ballroom, but might have been a great contender for silver or bronze. We will never know even though Misty did say that she wants to come back and dance the jive for all of America.
