Miley Cyrus' (Sickeningly) Sweet 16
Miley Cyrus celebrated her 16th birthday, seven weeks early, with a concert at Disneyland.
It was basically the sickeningly sweet affair you would expect -- complete with Miley's dad, Billy Ray Cyrus singing "Achy Breaky Heart" with his daughter's new boyfriend, Justin Gaston.
"This is the most amazing sweet 16 that a girl could have!" Miley told the crowd as she took the stage.
Then, the crowd, complete with celebs like David Archuelta, Steve Carell, Tyra Banks and Cindy Crawford, serenaded the teen sensation with a rendition of "Happy Birthday," and fireworks lit up the sky.
She's just gotten too sugary for me -- blech!

Really - should any 15 or 16 year old be wearing heels quite that high? Will she be able to walk at all in 20 years?
Jilian, I was just about to say the same thing! If you look at her feet she's on tippy-toes. Way to break and ankle or two!
I saw the same thing and thought, how the HELL do these teenagers wear those heels day in and day out? I like to be comfy. If I get Christian Louboutin heels for xmas though, I will mangle my feet just to get to wear them everyday. *sigh*
The Sweet 16 event was for charity. In fact, the ticket proceeds were given to Youth Service America as well as $1 Million donated from Disney. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but how does that make her spoiled? Regardless of the economy... charity is charity, who are we to say having a teen star raise money for a charity league involving teens is wrong?
16 not even yet and wearing those kind of heals???????? not really a good example there for our teens.

why in the world would a so called "concerned parent" as the Cyrus' call themselves allow their 16 year old daughter date a 20 year old man....What is wrong with this picture?
And why would ANYONE call her a Great Role Model?
She's 16, leave her alone....would you rather she traipse around with other people's husbands and collect assorted children all over the world, while throwing money at various causes and pimping out the kids for every available photo op? Cause that seems to be the 'thing' these days...
