Britney Takes the Stage For Simon Cowell!

Britney Spears performed before one of the biggest critics in the music biz this weekend, as she took the stage on the U.K.'s X Factor.

American Idol's sharp-tongued Simon Cowell rose to his feet after Brit took the stage on his British talent show. The comeback kid rocked a "Womanizer" number, as the contestants on the program each had to sing one of Brit's many hits.

The pop star seemed a bit nervous, but told the show's host that she's been enjoying her stay in the U.K.

"I met so many different people," she said. "I love being here in London - it's awesome."

Britney's performance was on the mark, but she still seems so scared to speak in public. I guess when all kinds of craziness has been coming out of your mouth for the last couple of years, trusting your ability to sound normal becomes kinda tough.

Have faith in yourself, Brit! The world wants you back!

Last night's "expose" (yeah, right, put out by her own managers, as revealed on the View today) was a TOTAL JOKE!! I waited all week to hear WHY she had been speaking in other languages, showing her crotch proudly to the world, shaving her head and beating cars with umbrellas...the only one of those she even TOUCHED was the head-shaving. According to her, "lots of people shave their heads"!!!!!!!! Uh, no they don't Britney! Just you did when you got served with an order to give a lock of your hair for drug usage identification. Her total lack of any real emotion showed that she is SOOOOOOO not ready yet to have any responsibility whatsoever over her boys. She's wayyyyyyyy out there. I had hoped that her seeming normal appearance at the VMAs was encouraging, but she was just another crazy girl in a pretty dress that someone else picked out for her. She remains very talented but sanity? I hope she achieves it someday, along with personal honesty!

I dont agree with your remarks Bonita, the girl has gone threw a lot and shes only 26, she was in the pop business too young, but her voice wasloved by millions.she never said she wanted to be anybody role model for kids and her fans, she just wanted them to like her songs.as for her taste in what she does the papers could have just blew up and put whateva there cos they want to put her down knowing she would have been absolutely nervous going to the stage singing infront of millions for the first time in ages, now hopefully she's jumped back on the horse, know why she made that song she always uses herlife which i think is best, its your own material nobody has same songs then. as for her manager thats her dad and yes he's a control freak but he's gotta give her some slack after all she's gotta learn her own way and she wont i believe go back to her old ways as she knows now what happens. as for her family piks ofthem show how much they love being with their mum so give the girl a break she deserves one, i doubt any star realises what happens wen you make songs that sell and all of sudden everybody wants piece of you and all yo have done is sing cos you enjoy doing it. i feel sorry for her she always gets bad press cos it sells, and feel sorry for readers who believe it all,????

I agree with you so much Karen. I love Britney and I think she is going to comeback very well. She just had some rough moments but you know what you pick yourself up and brush it off and you go foward and achevie what you want and alot of people start hating like Bonita there for instance give the girl some credit

Does anyone else agree that she had to have lip-synced that.
1. She wasnt outof breath at all when talking to the host
2. Uhm whats the purpose of the host handing the microphone to her to answer questions when she was clearly wearing a headset/???

I love Womanizer and Britney, but comeon. This wasnt her best performance of the song and she needs to fire her choreographer. he dancing was off.

I think that everyone makes mistakes, but they are not suppose to haunt you for the rest of your life. When you make a mistake in life you are either going to learn from it or not, so lets give her the benefit of a doubt!! Keep up the good work Brit and don't let anyone tell you that it is too late.

So so disappointed in her appearance today on the Early Show. She has NO energy and walked the entire dance while the backup dancers knocked the socks off her wornout body.. Sad.. but I wouldn't take tickets to her live show if you paid me to go... she needs to get healthy..

I agree with karen and sophia.
If all our mess ups in life was public knowledge
we would also probably freak out.
I think people need to really think carefully about what they say to others cos you never know how your life is going to turn out and were you may end up.
At least britney has the courage to get up and go forward so i hope for the best for her.
You rock Brit!!!1
