What makes you presume it's "poor David." Maybe it was Kimberly who got her heart broken! Everything I've read says that they broke up BEFORE the holidays, so BEFORE the Star Magazine story. And why anyone would believe anything printed in Star is beyond me. The story about Kimberly making out with some guy (which would have been after the breakup anyway) is probably about as true as the story they put out that he bought an engagement ring at Tiffany's.

I don't know who did the breaking up, but I never thought she was good enough for him, so I'm happy if he can now move on and find someone else who'll make him happy in the long run. Kim pretty much has a new Idol date each season, maybe now with Season 8 starting, she wanted to free herself up for someone new.... wouldn't surprise me.

David will be fine. I think it's all for the best.

Thank god Kim Caldwell is out of the picture. I still wonder if it's true they broke up. I have been reading that they are trying to sell tickets for David's concert and she is going on Idol so they are trying to down play the relationship.

Also Kim went on her myspace and said the story in STAR was another fabricated story. Making one think there was no breakup. Then her PR must have told her to pull it because now it's gone. This could be a way of getting the public out of their hair by saying they broke up. So I am not convinced.

I can't stand Caldwell and like the rest, David can do so much better. This chick didn't even have the intelligence level that David had. Find a nice Tulsa girl David. The spotlight should remain on you and your music.

The "friends" thing is a common thing for PR to say. David needs to move from her. He really does...she was killing his career.

I'm glad they broke up. I would like to know who broke up with who and when...some details would be nice. She didn't wait very long before making out with another dude, so I'm guessing David didn't lose much here. Did you see the dress she couldn't fill out that she wore to the grammies? She tried to show what she doesn't have, I guess. And talking over the cohost is not helping her image, but then she doesn't seem to care much about that. I wish David Cook would do a real tour for his idol fans instead of this college tour thing that is so limited on tickets to only college kids. I hope we can still remember him if he decides to finally do a real concert tour! Glad he was able to do the tour for the troops.
