Lisa Bonet Gives Birth -- & A Crazy Name
The age-old question -- why do Hollywood parents insist on torturing their children with ridiculous names? -- comes to mind as I report this news.
Cosby Show star Lisa Bonet and her hot husband Jason Momoa welcomed their second child, a boy, into world.
The baby's name? Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa!
Yeah, and I'm not even kidding.
What's the nickname for that? Is it Bob? 'Cause that's the only way it makes it acceptable to do that to your kid.

I'm guessing the "middle" names are Hawaiian, so there's probably a reason behind that? What's with the "Wolf" though??
~~~Sounds Hawaiian, and Nakoa is nice. Who really uses all their middle names anyway. Nothing freaky here.~~~
Being married to a Hawaiian I agree. Hawaii is a beautiful island and culture that was taken over by the white man too much. My husband has a white Christian name and I hate that. That is why our daughters name is Leilani. Why must we degrade other countries because of their differences? Makes us look ignorant. And like bullies. Go ahead and make fun of Leilani too. It means child of heaven.
I had a friend in High School that had 13 middle names. They all had meaning to the family but caused a problem when forms asked for a full mane.
I like Nakoa. It's pretty.
Isn't it too bad that the person who writes for this blog doesn't do their homework before they start typing about the people they write about?
Jason is of both Hawaiian and Caucasian ancestry. He was born in the islands, raised and educated in Iowa.
His Hawaiian name given at birth, NAMAKAEHA translates to "all knowing eyes". Jason is the 4th generation of his family to carry this name.
Loved him as Roan Dex in Star Gate Atlantis and the poor guy was getting whiplash injury's to his neck from the weight of the dreadlocks his caricature had to have.So thank goodness the producers let him cut them off after the 4th season. He then used a custom made wig for the show till the end of the series.
I also like the names they sound similiar to maori names(indigenous new zealanders) and always have beautiful meanings and they usually remember their ancestors, when a person names their child it is their own business
arohanui(love)and peace to all,
Below is an explaination on the names...
Jason's mom explained the unusual moniker on her son's Web site.
"He was born on the stormiest, rainy night, so Nakoa (warrior)...Mana(strength/spirit) Kaua (rain) po (dark)...." she wrote. "The name was always going to be Nakoa-Wolf, but Jason did the research on first [and] middle name. [The] 2nd middle name, as you know, is Jason's."
Why? Because it's not in English? Are you implying that would be " the only way it makes it acceptable" -to you-, is to be able to pronounce it in your safe American tongue? You're just RACIST!
They have clearly explained the -Family- reasons for the native Hawaiian name they picked for their child. Not everyone wants to name their children "Bob", fearing they aren't intelligent enough to spell a name over one syllable. Or is it your insecurity of not stacking up to the mental ability of 6 year olds all over the South Pacific, who have no problem pronouncing a language not their own.
Bleach the brains out of your own family, but for gods sake, give some respect to others who are culturally diverse in their view of the world.
And Take off your sheet.
