Patrick Swayze: " I Wanna Live"
"I won't chase staying alive," Patrick Swayze told Barbara Walters on her televised special last night. "If you chase staying alive, you won't live," the actor, who is battling pancreatic cancer, said. "I wanna live."
Such a heartbreaking, yet amazing interview to watch. Patrick, despite, numerous tabloid reports that he's weeks away from death, says he plans on fighting this for a long time. "You're not gonna beat me," he thinks to himself as he's lying on his bathroom floor curled up in a ball.

I admire the way you are selfless enough to share such a personal situation with all of your fans. I know what it is like. I was by my mamaws side through her fight with small cell liver/lung cancer. She was not fortunate enough to make it, we lost her right before Christmas- but we stand strong knowing she made it safely into Gods arms. I am sure you have a supportive loving family, plus millions of fans who will be rooting you on and praying for you through this battle. I know if anyone can pull through a battle like this, it's you- like in ROADHOUSE=) Just make sure you are willing and prepared to accept Gods will if you do not win. Such a positive and strong person and down to earth, gotta love him. his wife seems very positive and strong also. Been together for 33 years, she will be lost, my heart goes out to her.
You are all soooo negative. There is always hope, especially if one believes it. Most of these comments are not positive or helpful in my opinion.
God never gives you more than you can handle with faith. Your life is in God's hands and only He knows when to call you home. I will keep praying for you Patrick, and may God bless you and Lisa.
