Octomom Gets Reality Show -- Kids Get Paid!
Octomom continues to stay in the spotlight.
Nadya Suleman has officially inked a deal with a British production company to star in a new reality show. There's no word yet on what kind of payout Nadya herself will receive to help defray the huge cost of raising those kids, though we're sure she'll be securing some sort of paycheck. We do, however, know that the kids -- all 14 of them -- will definitely be getting paid...
According to E!, the kids will earn "$125,000 collectively for 36 days of shooting the first year; $75,000 for 21 days in the second year; and $50,000 for 14 days the third year."
Since the kids' ages range from 7 months to 7 years, there are lots of legalities to figure out but, according to their contract, 15 percent of the cash will be put into a trust account that they won't be able to touch until they are 18... or legally emancipated. Anyone see a Macaulay Culkin-esque trial in the Suleman family's future?
The series is set to start shooting Sept. 1, and will supposedly be focusing on "milestones in the children's lives."
Milestones, huh? Well then they should start with the fact that these little ones are raking in the dough at such a young age.

Good for them this is wonderful news that they are going to be a part of a show and making money for their well being and future. It is certainly better then reading and listening to all the negative talk about that lovely family.
She's got to earn money somehow and as she is a stay at home mom this is one way of doing it. How is what she is doing any different from the Arkansas family of 18+children or Kate and Jon? They are focusing on the families and children play a large role in these reality shows too!
I am NOT defending Nadya but at least she is not going on welfare!
The difference between the Duggars and the Gosselins and octomom is that the first 2 families have never depended on the government to support them as octomom has. She had the 8 babies with no clue as to how she would be able to take care of them financially and no place to live. If you can't take care of them on your own, then don't have them!!
