5 Twilight Flicks? CanYou Handle it?
I can barely contain my excitement for the second movie in the Twilight saga, as New Moon is set to hit theaters this November, but now there are rumblings that there could be three more after that!
Production has already started on movie No. 3, Eclipse, and one of the film's newbies, BooBoo Stewart, has mentioned that there will be five movies in all.
Five?! But there are only four books?
A rep for Summit Studios, who is making the Robert Pattinson lovefests, said that BooBoo may have made a boo boo.
"We appreciate our young actor's enthusiasm for the franchise and his role, but his comments about the number of films were unfortunately uninformed and not accurate."
Even the fourth book, Breaking Dawn, has not yet started the transition from page to screen, but the studio execs say, "The fans should rest assured the we're working with Stephenie Meyer to bring Breaking Dawn to the big screen."
Hmmmm. That sparks my interest, big time. The thought of a fifth book?! I can't even.

I heard in some interview that Stephanie Meyer did, that Breaking Dawn was such an intricate story that it would have to be broken into two parts to be made in a proper movie.
Maybe that's where the 5th one comes in, rather than a brand new book altogether.

What could have been mentioned or he could have been talking about is the fifth book she had started that got kinda "hacked" so to speak. She was writing a book that chronicled the story from Edward's point of view. From what I read of it (she posted what she had) it was really good, but it was shelved because the rough draft got leaked. That could have been the slip when he said five, thinking about the possible fifth book that has yet to come out.
Breaking Dawn was like 3 books in one. It would definetly take 2 movies to really do it justice. I hope they do decide on doing it that way so as not to miss crucial parts for viewers to really get it.
