Chris Brown Sentenced to Stay Away From Rihanna for 5 Years
Chris Brown should stock up on photos of Rihanna -- 'cause that's the only way he's going to see her for a while.
The singer was formally sentenced in a Los Angeles courtroom Tuesday for his arrest, after attacking Rihanna last February.
L.A. Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg ordered Chris not to have any communication with Rihanna for the next five years, which includes phone and email contact. He was also ordered not to come within 100 yards of Rihanna - 10 yards if they're both at the same event.
Chris will also do six months of community labor in Virginia -- performing graffiti removal, cleaning and maintaining grounds, and washing cars.
"Brown's labor hours will be flexible to accommodate his entertainment career," according to DA spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons.
Chris, who was accompanied by a bodyguard and his mom, will be on probation for five years, he'll have to take a year of domestic violence classes, and was ordered to pay fines.
At the end of the hearing, the judge warned Chris, presumably referencing the reports that Chris and Rihanna have been seeing each other, "I'm not immune to any chatter on the airwaves. Do you understand, Mr. Brown, that any violation of this order is a violation of your probation and it comes with the possible penalty of prison?"
Chris responded "Yes."
Hopefully everyone can move on with their lives now.

Can't see how a judge can control Rhianna and Chris from seeing each other. She doesn't seem to have any problems with being with Chris, so why does the judge care? If he wanted to be sure they stayed away from each other he should have sentenced him to some jail time, otherwise give him his sentence of probation and move on by letting Rhianna decide if she wants to be around Chris or not. If rumors are true they've been together, what makes the judge think he can stop them now? What if they were to run off and get married, could the judge interfere there?
i think that the judge could have left the not seeing each other part to rihanna.this guys are crazy in love despite what happened
Abusive men DO NOT change! Neither do the stupid women that stay with them. I think that Chris got what he deserves. It is not love-- it is an addiction to each other.
You do the crime got to pay the price...Hope you learned your lesson chris...
