Chris Brown to Participate in Group Counseling
How crazy would it be to walk into your group counseling meeting and to sit down next to Chris Brown?
Well, a bunch of people are about to find out.
According to the Executive Director of Commonwealth Catholic Charities, where Chris will be doing his ordered year of domestic violence counseling, Joanne D. Nattrass says that most of the therapy will be done in groups.
The organization, located near Chris' home in Virginia, is a nonprofit social services team that works with people from all faiths. According their website, its Batterer's Intervention Program "offers educational group sessions with discussions on such topics as control issues and equality in a relationship."
"BIP frequently tests and challenges each group member's behavior. "Progress is made only if the abuser is self-accountable for all behaviors, and develops the flexibility to make behavioral changes."
It would be so interesting to be able to hear Chris' take on what really went down that night with Rihanna. Did he feel justified in hitting her? Does he see where it all went wrong?
I would give my left arm to be a fly on the wall in that therapy session.
