As friends, family and fans struggle with the death of Adam Goldstein, they won't be getting any answers they're looking for right now.

An autopsy was performed on the deejay, who was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on Friday, but further tests are needed to discover what the exact cause of his death was.

"The cause of death was inconclusive because we need to do additional testing," New York City Medical Examiner spokesperson Ellen Borakove said Saturday. "The testing would include toxicology and tissue testing. We don't expect any results for several weeks."

"It's under investigation and when the investigation is complete we will have a cause of death and a manner of death," she added.

According to reports, numerous prescription pill bottles were found in DJ AM's home, as well as a crack pipe.

Adam had a history of drug abuse, though friends say he's been sober for years. It's rumored that he was devastated from the recent breakup with his girlfriend.

So sad.
