Melanie Griffith Checks in to Rehab
Melanie Griffith has checked in to the Cirque Lodge rehab center in Utah, her rep confirms to Star.
"She is there to reinforce her commitment to stay healthy. This is part of a routine plan that was designed between her and her doctors years ago," Robin Baum said.
But insiders are telling the mag that the actress is still battling addictions to drugs and alcohol -- the same fight she's been fighting since she was a teenager.
"She's working with the counselors on getting control of her demons," the snitch said.
And said demons are reportedly causing trouble in Melanie's marriage to Antonio Banderas.
"The reason Melanie checked in was her husband was demanding that she get clean and sober," another source told Star. "He told her that if she didn't get the help she needed it would be the end of their marriage."
A third source said that Antonio is doing what he can to support his wife.
"Melanie's struggling right now, but Antonio has been checking in on her as much as he is allowed, making sure she gets back on her feet. Without Antonio in her life, I honestly believe Melanie would be dead."

I really adore Melanie Griffith and hope that she does all that she can to get a handle on what demons she might be fighting. Being married to man like Antonio is hard work and to look and feel as she did when they first got together is a big reason so many wifes of hollywood actors end up loosing it in the end.
For there sakes I hope AB is compassionate and really loves his wife enough to see her through these hard times. Living in that environment and stressing over staying and looking young is hard on a woman. Men tend to dump you and start looking around for a replacement as soon as there is a hint of trouble so for their sakes I hope all turns out well.
