We already knew that celebrities love to hear themselves talk. Now, apparently, they love see themselves tweet. In this inaugural edition of a new recurring feature, Celebrities Are All A-Twitter, we'll take a look at the online blabberings of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt -- collectively known as "Speidi" -- as Heidi prepped for the Miss Universe pageant to perform her new single in her debut performance.

Heidi's day yesterday began as it often does. On Twitter.

"today is the BIG day thank you God!"

And in case her followers weren't clear on what the BIG day was, Heidi added, exclamatorily:

"tonight live my first performance!!!!!!!!!!! Miss Universe!!! NBC!"

Meanwhile, hubby Spencer was doing his best to get the word out to the Twittersphere (note: "RT" stands for "Retweet").

"RT @usweekly: @spencerpratt we'll definitely be watching @HeidiMontag perform tonight ! Yes yes yes!!!!! So exciting!!!"

"RT @usweekly: @HeidiMontag performance tonight! Twitter peeps everyone will be watching!!"

Lest her Twitter-readers think she'd abandoned them for the day, a few hours later Heidi posted a reminder.

"count down to my first performance! 6 hours!!"

And two hours later...

"getting ready for miss universe!"

Devoted churchgoer Spencer asked a personal favor of his followers:

"Everyone I ask you to please say a huge prayer for @heidimontags first performance for 1billion eyes tonight on NBC for miss universe!"

Spencer then made a special request of one Twitterer in particular.

"@KimKardashian Kim you must watch @heidimontag perform at 9pm before your sisters show!"

Heidi continued to build suspense for the momentous occasion of the debut performance of her single "Body Language".

"heading over to miss universe to the stage!!! here we go!"

And so it was off to the races -- but not without a plug for her other half.

"my hubby @spencerpratt looks stunning!"

When all was said, done and lip-synched, Heidi began a new day with another Tweet.

"last night was one of the best nights of my life!!!! i had so much fun! my first performance! thank you God!"
