The court ruled that she will get more visitation time with her sons. Though Mark Vincent Kaplan, Kevin Federline's lawyer, wouldn't say exactly how much more time Britney received, he did say it's "more than it has been." According to TMZ, Britney will get three days a week with Jayden and Sean, though it's unknown if she'll have overnight visits. Britney will also spend Mother's Day with her boys.
Jamie and Lynne Spears, Brit's parents, released the following statement:
"We are so pleased with Britney's progress, and we are appreciative of the court's recognition of this progress."
Congrats, Britney!
This will be the first time in over a year and a half that the former couple will sit before Commissioner Scott Gordon to discuss their custody battle.
Also on the agenda: Brit's court-ordered psychiatric evaluation. The results of the eval will most definitely be used when discussing Brit's request to have more visits, as well as overnight stays, with her boys.
What do you think? Has Britney showed enough improvement? How should the court rule?

About 30 women attended the baby shower, where Jamie Lynn was said to have opened every gift (who wouldn't?), while her mom and her future mother-in-law (babydaddy Casey Aldridge's mom) helped out.
Though it was meant to be a "normal" baby shower, sheriff's deputies were standing at the gate and paparazzi helicopters circled above the event. Very normal indeed.

Lindsay's playing an old high school friend of Betty's and will be appearing for five episodes. Think it'll go more of the Mean Girls route or do you think Lindsay's character may have actually been really nice to Betty?
I wonder if all of the problem celebs will follow this new trend. First Britney went on How I Met Your Mother and the world watched in shock as she actually seemed... normal. Maybe Betty will change our opinion of La Lohan?
How cute are Sean Preston & Jayden James?
Yes, it is a shame that Britney Spears' poor boys are splattered on the cover of the new Life & Style, but at least we get to see them. I'm sure the story that goes with this cover (something about Britney and Kevin Federline coming together for the kids and Brit confessing her love for her ex) is less than 100% accurate, but it was such a darling shot of the cuties that I couldn't let it fly by.
I just want to pinch those cheeks!
I love How I Met Your Mother so much (did you see last night's episode?) that I don't think it even needs the star power of Britney Spears to make it worth watching, but, that being said, I'm psyched about the pop star's scheduled return to the sitcom.
Production has begun on Brit's latest episode, in which she is reprising her role of Abby, the quirky, sort of dumb receptionist at Ted's girlfriend's office. Last we saw Abby, she was doing some flirting with my man Barney, and now, it seems, they've graduated into having some sort of a relationship, which they are flaunting in front of Ted.
In a new statement, How I Met Your Mother’s executive producer and co-creator Craig Thomas told People.com, “We’re all so thrilled to have Britney joining us once again. And just to head it off at the pass this time around: Yes, Mom, Britney’s very nice and no, I can’t get her autograph for you.”
The episode is set to air May 12.
The main reason I am running the cover of the new Star is because this is the first positive magazine cover dedicated to Britney Spears in eons. For that reason alone Brit should wallpaper her house in it.
The mag, filled with new and exclusive photos of the pop star on the beach in Malibu, says Brit has lost 20lbs in 30 days, that her cellulite has magically disappeared, and that her legs are back to be being Thoroughbred-caliber (Hi, Pat!). If you want to see how she did it, pick up the new issue on May 5.
I bet the people at Bally's are high-fiving as we speak.
Britney Spears has been asked back to How I Met Your Mother!
According to People.com the Britster will be reprising her role as the quirky receptionist at Ted's girlfriend's dermatology office. Last we saw her character, Brit was flirting with -- wait for it -- the awesome Barney.
Can't wait to see where that went!
"The show is ecstatic and so is Britney,” a source said. “She had so much fun the first time around she really wanted to come back. It was a mutual decision to work together more.”
I'm excited!
Considering Britney Spears' lawyers are probably the hardest working people in America, it's nice to know that they are getting paid for their headaches.
Commissioner Reva Goetz ruled Thursday that the attorneys involved with Brit's conservatorship mumbo-jumbo will be paid nicely for their time spent of the case. Britney's attorney, Samuel Ingham, will receive up to $10,000 per week through the end of July, Jamie Spears' attorney, Geraldine Wyle, will get $175,000, trust attorney Clark Byam will be paid $22,500, and custody attorney Stacey Phillips will receive $75,000.
It seems like a ton of cash to you and me (so much so I'm regretting not going to law school), but to Britney it's pocket change that's completely worth every penny for the turnaround she's done since her dad has been in charge.
Believe it or not, this news makes me happy.
According to reports, Jamie Lynn Spears and her babydaddy/fiancé, Casey Aldridge, have been house-hunting together in Mississippi. The couple, who will be welcoming their first child this summer, have already made an offer on a three-bedroom house in the town of Liberty. Their new abode will have a loft, marble floors, a remodeled kitchen and a game room.
"Jamie Lynn is really excited over having a home of her own," an insider said.
At least these kids are making an honest go at being family. I have my doubts that this will last forever, but wouldn't it be nice if it did?
Britney Spears may be coming to a gym near you!
According to TMZ.com, Brit is in talks with Bally's Total Fitness to be the face of their clubs! The website says Brit's parents have both been talking to the company's peeps about making a deal for Britney. Apparently, the pop star's former manager Larry Rudolph (who has been back in the picture lately) knows someone at the top over there and is pushing things to happen.
In the meantime, Brit has working out at Bally's a lot -- sometimes three times a day -- and she's training with two of their personal trainers! They've also assigned her a nutritionist, and, right now, no money is being exchanged either way . A company insider said, "We're more interested in Britney Spears' health than her $19."
That's lovely. Whatever, Brit's body is going to look HOT! I hope she seals the deal.
Britney Spears is safe -- for a few more months, at least.
Former puppeteer Sam Lutfi has been ordered to stay away from the pop star until the end of July -- and he says he's okay with that -- as long as it's helping Brit, of course.
"Sam and the family are communicating and cooperating trying to do what's best for Britney," a spokesman for the creepazoid told UsMagazine.com.
Sam kind of had no choice but to agree to keep his distance from Brit, considering there is a restraining order against him, but I'm just happy to know that he's able to sleep at night. Because, let's just say, he couldn't, I would have to slip some drugs into his drink and then maybe he would go all crazy, talk in a British accent, and rip his extensions out.
Sound familiar, Sam?
"She's like this Tennessee Williams tragic figure. The fatter she gets, the weirder she gets, the more I love her. I found her moderately appealing in the late '90s, but now I would marry her in a heartbeat."
-- Moby, to Britain's The Sun, on his love for Britney Spears
Well, with sweet-talk like that, we bet Brit will be knocking on Moby's door any minute now.
Britney Spears's bad luck with cars continued this weekend, as the pop star caused a three-car bang up on a highway this weekend.
Brit was driving her 2008 white Mercedes on Saturday evening, when she rear-ended the person in front of her on the 405 connector to the 101 freeway.
According to accident report from the California Highway Patrol, "The collision occurred when the driver of the Mercedes, driving in the #3 lane, in stop and go traffic failed to observe the vehicle directly ahead of her come to a complete stop. She attempted to brake but failed to stop her vehicle prior to colliding into the rear of the Nissan."
The Nissan then hit the car in front of them, but no damage was done. Luckily, nobody was hurt in the accident and it seems like it was pretty minor. So minor, in fact, that Britney went out to dinner later in the evening with her mom -- but she let someone else do the driving.
So, to sum up, it was nothing earth-shattering -- there were no drugs involved, Britney wasn't drunk, and the kids weren't in the car. She's just a bad driver.April 14 at 6:24 AM

What do you buy for your pregnant and engaged sister, who's about to turn the ripe old age of 17?
That's the question that must have been going through Britney Spears' mind, as she shopped for Jamie Lynn's birthday, which happens to be today. Happy sweet seventeen, mama-to-be!
Britney and her mom, Lynne, headed out yesterday the corporate offices of clothing store Ed Hardy, to peruse some items for JL. According to a rep for the store, Brit was "in good spirits" as she shopped. Later, the pop star visited designer Christian Audigier and to check out his new spring collection. "Christian and she were laughing as she tried on Ed Hardy sunglasses and checked out the bathing suits," says the rep.
So what will Jamie Lynn score form her big sis? Britney picked up a bunch of Christian Audigier handbags, scarves, and Crystal Rock T-shirt for Jamie Lynn, and also bought some items for her dad and brother.
Awww! Brit must have been in a good mood because, before she stuffed her bags with gifts, she spent some time with her boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Sounds like the perfect day!
Kevin Federline's lawyer wants everyone to just chillax with the talk that Britney Spears is back and better than ever. Mark Vincent Kaplan says that, though Britney is doing better with the help of her dad, Jamie Spears, reports that the once-troubled pop star is fully recovered are premature.
"Jamie is doing a really good job," the attorney told People.com. "There was a situation and that seems to be stabilized. Does that mean she’s cured? Of course not."
He does credit Brit's dad with making "smart" moves concerning his daughter's career and lifestyle choices, adding that, "Obviously before Jamie, it wasn't a question of what was going to happen – it was a question of when."
Mark also says that, more than anything, Kevin just wants the mother of his children to be happy and healthy, and that, personally, he's looking forward to the resolution of Kevin and Britney's custody case. "I look forward to the time when I can be bored," MVK joked.
Larry Rudolph has confirmed to UsMagazine.com that did meet with former client Britney Spears and that she's "doing great."
"I have spent time with her, and she is on the right path because she has people around her who really care about her well-being," Larry said. He didn't go into details about the nature of their meetings, nor did he say if he and Brit had any plans to re-team. "This isn’t the time to talk business," he insisted. "This is a time for healing."
Friends of Brit say that having Larry back in Britney's camp could only mean good things for the pop star."People close to Britney know that Larry is the best person for her," a friend of Brit's fam told the mag. "He's the man who can get her back on the right track career-wise."
I love good Britney news.
No, silly. Not Kevin Federline. Not yet, anyway.
Britney Spears is said to be re-teaming with her ex-manager, Larry Rudolph. Sources tell E! online that Britney is in talks with Larry, who was, in part, responsible for her huge success years ago. The pair had worked together on and off for years, but most recently split last year after Britney publicly blamed him for making her go to rehab.
"It's true. They are working together," a source told the website.
Under the conservatorship of her father, Jamie Spears has to approve the hiring or firing of any of Brit's people but, if the past is any indication, Poppa Spears is a fan of Larry. After Britney chastised Larry for advising her to go to Promises, Jamie sent an email to the New York Post supporting the manager.
"When Larry Rudolph talked Britney into going into rehab, he was doing what her mother, father and team of professionals with over 100 years of experience knew needed to be done," Jamie wrote. "She was out of control. Larry was the one chosen by the team to roll up his sleeves and deliver the message, to help save her life."
Hopefully lightning will strike twice (in a good way) for these two.
I know you generous kiddies of mine were thinking about what you could possibly get Jamie Lynn Spears for her baby-to-come, so I'm here to make your life easier.
Jamie and her cousin headed to the Babies R Us in Baton Rogue (yay! Take that Petit Tresor) and made up a baby registry consisting of gifts in every price range. Strapped for cash but want to show your JLS and her "co-registrant," fiancé Casey Aldridge? Send them a teething ring for a $1.49. Have money to burn? Splurge for the $300 car seat. Fall somewhere in between? Pick up a Cookie Monster towel or the Baby Neptune Ocean Gym.
Jamie kept her picks gender-friendly, going mostly with neutral colors, despite recent reports that the couple know that are having a boy.
Happy shopping!
"I will always love the mothers of my children, and I will always be there for both of them. I believe that any good energy I put out there brings more good energy into my own life. The relationships with my kids and family will last my whole life and are the most important to me."
-- Kevin Federline, to In Touch Weekly, on ex-wives Britney Spears and Shar Jackson
Who wrote that for him?
Yes, folks, it's true. You can all rest easy now, knowing that Jamie Lynn Spears is, indeed, engaged to her babydaddy, Casey Aldridge.
"He proposed a few days ago, and she accepted," Casey's cousin, Tina Robinson, confirmed to UsMagazine.com. “They probably weren’t expecting [the proposal] to be, like, right now, but with her being pregnant, that really pushed it up,” she said.
Like, really? Get out!
Tina said she hasn't had the pleasure of seeing the engagement rock, and wasn't sure if the teens would marry before or after the little one arrives.
What about marrying at the junior prom? OMG, wouldn't that be, like, so amazing?
Oh no, wait, do you get to go the prom when you get your GED? Well, she can crash. No worries.
The tides are shifting, people. According to the NY Daily News, the paparazzi may be over Britney Spears? WHAT?
The paper spoke to the head of BuzzFoto, who pointed out that the paparazzi are cooling off the pop princess, despite the fact that she may be on the comeback trail. "Over the weekend, there were less than a half dozen covering Britney," Brad Elterman said.
So, where are all the sneaky shutterbugs? "There were 30 in the pack covering Miley Cyrus," he revealed. "Most of them were Britney regulars, but they want something new and fresh. It's moved on to Miley."
Britney's paparazzi loss is really a gain, while Miley had better watch her back. I pray it won't happen but, in a year, could we talking about how a bald Miley smashed her umbrella through a photog's windshield?
Britney Spears' return to television last night was a complete success. Not only for her, who proved to be really funny, charming and cute as a quirky love-struck receptionist on How I Met Your Mother, but for the show, as well.
Because of Brit's well-hyped appearance, the ratings for last night's show were the highest the sitcom has ever seen -- getting the viewership it should be getting every week. HIMYM is always that funny and good -- it wasn't just because Britney was on.
If you haven't been watching, start making it a habit. Neil Patrick Harris' Barney is awesomely awesome in every episode, and what girl isn't falling in love with main character Ted? Yes, I would love if Britney made a return appearance, but this girl would love it more if you kept watching her favorite show. And if you don't, I might have to have my own Slapsgiving episode, starring you.
Don't know about the hilarity that was Slapsgiving? If you watched HIMYM regularly you would.
Is Casey Aldridge planning to make an honest woman out of babymama-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears?
So says People.com, who is reporting that Britney's little sis is sporting a brand new ring, courtesy of her bf.
"She has been flashing the rock to friends and family around Louisiana and Mississippi," a source close to the family tells the mag.
Jamie is rumored to be expecting a boy this summer. No word on if she and Casey plan to marry before or after the kid gets here. Personally I think they should wait until after the baby is born, so JL can at least drink at her own wedding. Oh wait -- she's only 16. Silly me.
You, too, can be wearing Britney Spears' How I Met Your Mother duds, as the producers of the show are sponsoring the sale of Brit's sitcom wardrobe for charity. The profits from the sale will go to the Natural Resources Defense Council, so, by wearing an outfit previously donned by Brit, you'll be helping the environment, as well as your social status.
Items included in the auction, which begins tonight, right after Britney's guest episode of HIMYM, are a navy print Juicy Couture dress, a yellow Nannette Lepore dress and a cream Nannette Lepore cardigan with blue flower details.
Get the clothes that have covered Britney's bits and be a hero!
There's no party like a K-Fed party, obviously. The ex Mr. Britney Spears, Kevin Federline, took to Las Vegas to celebrate turning the big 3-0 Friday night, and was greeted, almost immediately upon entering Pure nightclub, by his other ex wife, Shar Jackson.
Kev partied with Shar and another 20 pals, including his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan (weird), dancing on couches and drinking Jack Daniels. At on point, he even treated the crowd to, what People.com describes as, a "profanity-laced speech," in which he told all the partygoers to "have a good time". Then he said, "I lost my voice at the craps tables and I lost all my money," before a friend had the good sense to get him away from the microphone.
A tad bit too much JD, huh?
Kevin left the club around 2, and was headed back home to his boys on Saturday, who had spent the night with the nanny.
Britney Spears has got all kinds of things in the works! Hot off her appearance on How I Met Your Mother, the back-to-work pop star is embarking on yet another new adventure. According to PerezHilton.com, the Britster is set to open her own dance studio!
Brit has been teaching young kids how to groove, in the last few months, at Millennium Dance Studio, and now she's branching out her own. The new place "will be right near Millennium," the source told Perez. "And she plans to call it The Basement."
Cool! I could totally use some new moves.
