Britney Spears appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman last night, in a teeny black bikini with a flower in her hair, to present Dave's infamous Top Ten List.
Giving the audience the "Top Ten Ways the Country Would Be Different if Britney Spears Were President," Brit looked all sexy, configuring her body in one sexy pose after another.
And though there really were only two amusing reasons, No. 2 - "Three words: Vice President Diddy," and No. 1 - "Finally, the media would pay attention to me!" it was nice to see Brit back to having some fun with her old pal Dave.

The 2009 MTV VMA nominations have been announced and the ladies are in the lead!
Beyonce and Lady Gaga tied for the top honors with nine nods each, while comeback kid Britney Spears scored seven! All three are up for the Video of the Year honor.
"I'm excited and honored to be tied for most nominated for the VMAs," Beyoncé says. "I've been blessed this year to have 'Single Ladies' become a video people really connected with and responded to. I've spent so much time watching all the great versions people created all around the world. It's beautiful to feel you touch people and bring a song to life with a video."
The awards, hosted again by comedian Russell Brand, will be broadcast live from NYC's Radio Music Hall on September 13, with performances by Taylor Swift and Pink.
"Last year I got to jump out of a window at the VMAs in L.A.," Pink said. "This year I can't wait to blow the roof off Radio City in New York."

If you were concerned that Kevin Federline's new reality show was going to follow his rapper career, you'll be happy to know that it's not. Instead, Kev's second foray into recorded real life is supposed to show him as a full-time dad to Britney Spears' boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Though it's not definite that we'll see K-Fed's new show make it to TV, a pilot episode is being filmed.
Kevin and friends were reportedly shot at the Vegas Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Thursday, where Brit's ex was partying at nightclub Wasted Space with his current girlfriend, Victoria Prince.
Hmmm. How is that a show about him being a full-time dad?
Here's a switch -- instead of the media focusing on Jessica Simpson or Kelly Clarkson gaining five pounds, or Tori Spelling and Keira Knightley wasting away to nothing, the tables have been turned on, gasp!, a guy!

Yes, the same Kevin Federline who was once married to Britney Spears -- and it seem he's gained some weight.
When K-Fed arrived at the X-Games Celebrity Skins Classic last weekend, spectators couldn't believe this was the same dude who was once making sweet love to the Britster. But that's what happens sometimes when you're a parent. A chicken nugget here, an ice cream cone there....
But it seems as if Kevin is going to try to use his bigger frame to his advantage -- and get a weight-loss reality show out of it.
"He's not hurting for money," a friend of the rapper said, "but he'd like to make this work. He's not going to kill anything that might be coming together by talking about it in too much detail before he's really sure it's going to happen."
Which is probably why Kevin had no comment.

Okay, not quite, but Kevin Federline may just be back on your boob tube for some more reality goodness. According to E! Online, K-Fed is in talks to star in a new reality series with his girlfriend, Victoria Prince, and possibly his two sons with Britney Spears, Jayden James and Sean Preston.
"Victoria is a big part of the series," the E! News source said. "They are not engaged, but she lives with him full-time in his place in Encino."
And Britney's already okay with all of this -- the insider said she's given Kevin's new girl the "seal of approval."
"Victoria and Britney first met before Britney's tour at Kevin's home," the source said. "They had a meeting face-to-face, when Victoria was home alone with the kids. It was awkward, but Britney was nice."
We're not sure what the show will actually be about, though we're pretty postiive it won't be like Kevin and Britney's 2005 Chaotic madness. And, really, if we've learned anything from Denise Richards, Kendra Wilkinson, and Bret Michaels, you can really make a reality TV show about anyone and people will watch.

So much better, that she may be getting out from under her dad's thumb.
According to TMZ.com, Jamie Spears will ask the court to review the terms of the conservatorship after his girl's tour ends in November. The judge will look over it over, check out how Britney's been doing, and decide whether or not the mom should regain control of her life.
Jamie's been the boss since February of 2008, but apparently thinks Brit has gotten her stuff together and is back on solid ground. TMZ seems to think that if she weren't still on tour, the judge might have already given Britney her freedom back. Too bad that the vendors for the concert were promised under their contracts that the conservatorship would stay in tact throughout the tour.
You can't really blame them for not trusting Brit, but Jamie has seen it all -- he should know if she's Brit is back.
Britney Spears may not need a restraining order against Adnan Ghalib for very much longer. The fact that Brit's ex boyfriend may be thrown behind bars for seven years should make her feel pretty safe.
A judge has ruled that there is enough evidence for Adnan to stand trial for charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon and battery and hit-and-run, stemming from an incident that occurred in February.
At Adnan's preliminary hearing Thursday, Ram Moskowitz testified how the smarmy pap hit him with his car when he tried to serve him with legal papers.
Adnan will be arraigned on July 23.

Okay, get this, there is a new BBC documentary called "Britney Spears Saved My Life," in which tons of Britney fans come together to talk about how the pop star's music and turbulent personal life gave them the motivation to overcome some hard times in their own wacked-out existence.
Vikram Jayantis, who directed the documentary for BBC3, recently wrote that even he was skeptical of this crazy-sounding project at first, but soon became a believer that Brit's beats could really save the world.
Vikram wrote, "Hopefully they will turn it on and realize that the kids who get what they get out of Spears, are kind of saving their lives. Being an adolescent can be a really desperate time and you hold onto anything you can that lets you have some control over yourself and have some identity."
One school-aged boy said that Britney's cover of "My Perogative" provided "the courage to leave the Jehovah's Witnesses and get through his best friend dying of cancer, and that song gave him an anthem for how he wants to live. That's what teenagers need, and I would never have expected to find that in Spears, because I thought it was simple pop music."
Don't get me wrong, music has some pretty amazing powers, I just never took Britney's "I'm a Slave for You" as any kind of motivational tool.

Britney Spears was only 10 when she competed on Star Search, but the experience left her with nothing but positive memories of the show's host Ed McMahon.
News of Ed's death came yesterday, and Britney took time out to pay tribute to the man who helped give her a break in the business.
"I am deeply saddened by today's news about Ed McMahon," she Tweeted. "He is responsible for giving so many artists their first shot, including myself. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed."
Leave it to Star to break "the news" that Britney Spears is getting ready to walk down the aisle with her agent-turned-boyfriend, Jason Trawick.
The tabloid is splashing Brit and Jason on the cover of their new issue -- and even giving details to what the proposal was like.
"He didn't exactly get down on one knee, but Brit didn't care. She said yes, and they opened a bottle of champagne to celebrate," an insider reportedly told the mag. "Jason held Britney for a long time and kissed her cheeks. They talked about their future for hours and didn't go to sleep until after 3 a.m.! They just wanted to be alone together."
Um, ok. Too bad another source told People.com that it's all bunk. "There's no truth to it at all. Britney is not engaged."
Don't be running out to Bed, Bath & Beyond just yet -- but, knowing Brit, she could have a new hubby sooner than later.
Britney's coming back again, bitches!
The pop star has announced that she will be taking her Circus tour on a second round of North American cities starting on August 20. Brit will even hit NYC's Madison Square Garden -- which means I am so going again!
The Toxic singer will close big -- ending on September 27 with a pair of shows at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
"I'm so excited to bring the Circus back to North America. I've made some really cool changes to the show that I think my fans are really going to love," Brit wrote on her website. "I also get to bring the show to some new cities we missed the first time around."

I have been in desperate need of some Britney Spears gossip!
It looks like little ol' Brit has a new special someone -- and he comes in the form of her agent, Jason Trawick. What's even better is that her family seems to actually like him.
That's gotta be a switch.
"They are totally and definitely dating," a source confirmed to People.com. "Her dad loves him. He's the best thing that happened to her."
Jason has been a staple in Brit's life for sometime now, as he is her older brother Bryan's best friend. Also, the insider says that Britney has always had a crush on Jase.
"They're very sweet together. He makes Britney really happy, and he's great with the boys."
This is great news! So happy Brit has found some normal dude to hang with. Let's hope it lasts!

Britney Spears' boys, Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2, showed off some of their own moves during rehearsal for Brit's Circus show in London Tuesday.

Well, at least she's not walking barefoot into gas station bathrooms anymore.
Britney Spears will be heading to London for her Circus tour this summer, and Star has got their hands on the pop star's interesting list of hotel demands.
While staying at the Dorchester Hotel, Britney insists that she be given a room that has "never" been smoked in at all with humidifiers in all areas.
Um, didn't she used to smoke like a chimney? Is she trading her body for one that's never been smoked in too?
Anyway, Britney will be bringing her own pillows (she's not taking any chances) but wants the lighting in her room to be bright --- 100 watt bulbs only, please. She has demanded that fresh flowers be delivered as well and, for entertainment purposes, has asked for tons of magazines, chick-lit novels, and Marilyn Monroe movies.
Oh yeah, and she wants to be able to ride horses.
Definitely a change from the Cheeto-eating-Slurpee-drinking days of old.
Britney Spears got a little bit of a surprise during her Circus concert Saturday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut, when a pretty determined fan jumped up on stage and started to dance with the pop star.
Britney was performing "Womanizer," when 20-year-old Kyle King ran on stage and stood right in front of her. The backup dancers did their best to usher the fan off -stage but Britney looked like she was pretty spooked, and needed a few seconds before getting back into the dance routine.
A detective with the Connecticut State Police told E! News that Kyle was arrested for breach of peace and was released on $250 cash bond. He is expected at Norwich Superior Court on June 18.
Jeez, what a clown.

Britney Spears' one-time creepy manager/stalker has been ordered to stay away from the singer for the next three years.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aviva Bobb ruled that the temporary restraining order issued in January go permanent. Sam must stay at least 100 yards away from Brit, her boys, and her family members' homes, and must not harass her and her children, or contact them through phone, mail and email. It also prohibits him from "acting on Ms. Spears' behalf or purporting to act on her behalf."
Of course Sam isn't just giving up. What stalker ever does?
Bryan Freedman, Sam's attorney, told People.com: "We absolutely will appeal this ruling. Never before in history has a restraining order been issued against someone who answered another person's cries for help.
Ugh! Dude, give it up! Move on -- find someone else -- get a hobby.
They still want her.
A woman has been arrested for sneaking into Britney Spears' private Calabasas community and peeping through her windows.
Miranda Tozier-Robbins, dressed in camouflage, and carrying a backpack and video camera, was spotted by security Thursday afternoon, roaming suspiciously outside Brit's house. According to the incident report, officers asked her to leave, but the woman "balked at their requests" and had to be physically escorted off the property.
The police were called and the fan was arrested on charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $5,000, and Miranda is due back in court on June 16.
Britney wasn't home at the time of the incident.
Stalkers creep me out.
Wondering who Britney Spears is crushing on these days? Well, sources say it's backup dancer Chase Benz (the guy to her immediate left in this photo).
According to Us Weekly, Brit has been flirting with Chase "a lot. Everyone on tour has noticed."
But the whole scenario is just a little too familiar for Brit's dad, Jamie Spears. An insider says the pop "isn't happy about it, because the fact that he's a backup dancer makes it feel like Kevin Federline all over again."
And adding to the parental discontent is Chase's mom, who tells the mag, "Chase is not dating Britney. He has a girlfriend. He is a good Christian."
Sorry, I just had to giggle at that last line.
Britney Spears walked off the stage after 15 minutes of her Circus concert in Vancouver last night, supposedly due to a smoky arena.
According to the Vancouver Sun, an announcement was made to the crowd reminding them to quit being butt heads. "The building is awfully smoky. It is uncomfortable for everyone on stage, including Ms. Spears. Please extinguish all cigarettes - this is a non-smoking building, and the show will resume when the smoke on the stage is cleared."
The interruption was met by "boos" from the crowd and left the fans "really pissed off. The break in the concert ruined it for everyone. The vibe was gone."
Brit returned 30 minutes later and continued to sing and dance, but took another break two songs later. When she finished up with "Womanizer," the singer told her audience, "Vancouver, don't smoke weed."
Brit's publicist told the Associated Press, "Crew members above the stage became ill due to a ventilation issue."
Riiiight. Crew members were getting sick from pot smoke. Seriously? She couldn't come up with something more believable than that?
A part of me kind of hopes this is true.
Star magazine claims that Britney Spears and ex Kevin Federline are back to doing the horizontal Hora (btw- Happy Passover!) -- and that Kevin's girlfriend, Victoria Prince, actually caught them in bed together!
Victoria "caught him with his hand in the cookie jar," a source told the mag.
This doesn't seem to be too unlikely considering how much sex Brit and Kev are supposedly having.
"It's like they're newlyweds all over again," an insider said of the twosome, who have been traveling together for much of her Circus tour. "Brit and Kevin can't keep their hands off each other! The flings have made them both a lot happier."
Hey, maybe they can be one big, happy family again.

This is an interesting twist in the crazy world of Britney Spears.
Sam Lufti's sister testified yesterday in court for a hearing regarding the restraining order against her brother, and said that she snuck a cell phone to Britney, so that the pop star could get in contact with her former manager behind her dad's back -- and that this little sneaky plan was all Brit's idea!
"[Britney] told me she wanted to get a hold of Sam," Christina Lufti, 25, told the court. "She wanted him to help her find a lawyer, and wanted someone to get a prepaid cell phone to her. She was scared because her father was blackmailing her with visitation rights over her kids."
Brit and Christina supposedly met in a sauna in a hotel gym, where the girl gave Britney a cell phone, telling her it was from Sam and the pop star's ex Adnan Ghalib. Britney hid the phone in her locker and, according to Christina, asked, "Will Sam be able to help me?'"
The phone was later found by Brit's security guard and taken away (like she's some criminal -- or a baby!).
Jamie Spears' laywer Blair Berk is singing a different tune. The attorney says Britney "was in such fear [of Sam], she asked if I could get him arrested, to keep him away from her," and denies that the singer was seeking outside legal help.
Sam's legal rep says his client was doing nothing but being Britney's good bud. "Sam's only crime was trying to help out a friend," Bryan Freedman told People.com. "When someone asks for your help, that person is obviously not scared of you or in need of a restraining order."
Hmmmm, who to believe? I always got a creepy feeling from Sam, and Jamie has come out of all of this smelling like a rose, but things aren't always as they seem, I guess.

Two roadies on Brit's Circus tour were arrested in Pennsylvania after one of the men got into a fight. When the police tried to break up the scuffle, the two members of Brit's crew took on the cops.
DUMB!
The cops actually needed to tase one of the guys, while the other way had to be chased down by the officers.
"Both [men] had very strong odors of alcohol, slurred speech and bloodshot eyes," police said in a statement. "[They] will be charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, simple assault, public drunkenness and possible additional charges."
What did Britney have to say about the actions of these two morons?
Well, an entry on her blog stated that these men were "two employees of a company contracted to provide equipment for The Circus [tour] and were not employees of the singer. The Circus Starring Britney Spears tour does not support or tolerate this type of behavior."
If Britney is keeping on her best behavior (and we know how hard that must be) her peeps could try and do the same, don't ya think?
So, how much did it really cost Britney Spears to marry and divorce the wonderful Kevin Federline?
Well, we could debate that point for years but, regarding legal fees, it came to about $417,000!
Yikes!
The Los Angeles Times reported yesterday that Britney's meltdown/comeback has sucked $2.7 million in legal fees out of her fortune -- with a good part of it going to the split from her ex and their custody battle.
Jamie Spears' lawyers filed a document Monday spilling the bad news. Fees were split among 17 lawyers and firms -- including a cool million just for Britney's own legal representation. That amount, said the attorneys, covered the "complex and challenging" aspects of getting Brit back on top.
"Since the initiation of the conservatorship, as a result of the concerted efforts of Mr. Spears as well as the professionals involved, all aspects of Ms. Spears's life have been stabilized and continue to improve," lawyer Geraldine Wyle wrote. She added that the singer's mental health continued "to mend," that she had regained "substantial visitation" with her children and that her career "has been revitalized."
So, how long, you think, before she makes that money back -- like a day or two?

Let me take you back to 2003, when Limp Bizkit bad boy Fred Durst was all into Britney Spears, saying on his website that he had "never felt this way" about a girl before.
Too bad Britney denied that they were ever a couple.
Anyway, Fred is back to swearing what he had with the pop star was real -- telling MTV news, "It just became a fiasco of madness. "[But] I always stay true to my heart and true to everything I did and my intentions, and I am in no way a liar."
Britney told the British version of Glamour that this so-called fling was all Fred. "I think him for me, but not me for him," she told the mag. "He's said some pretty amazing things about me. But, um, I think he leaped in too deep, too quick."
Burn.
But, Fred is chalking up Brit's version of what happened to her bouts of nuttiness.
"I look back on it as very interesting [in terms of] how things have been sort of unraveling for her since," he says. "[But] it is what it is. I can sleep at night knowing I made decisions that I wanted to make. [Still] I'm a supporter. I was then, I guess I am now."
"I just guess at the time it was taboo for a guy like me to be associated with a gal like her," he adds.
Sounds like someone still a little bit sweet on Ms. Spears, no? She does like those womanizers.
Looks like we won't be seeing an AdnanGhalib/Britney Spears reconciliation anytime soon.
A judge has ordered that the paparazzo in not allowed to be near Brit -- for the next three years!
There was already a temporary restraining order in place that was keeping Adnan from his former love but, when he decided not to show up for a court hearing today, the judge made the injunction permanent.
Too bad, so sad, bye-bye.
I was under Britney's Big Top!
That's right, I had the pleasure of seeing Britney's Circus concert front and center at the Prudential Center in beautiful Newark, New Jersey Saturday night -- and what a show it was.
Though I don't think Britney sang one lick -- the music was pretty much all pre-recorded except for the few backup singers that sang along -- the show itself was pretty cool. Tons of circus performers entertained the screaming crowd before and in between sets, and the sets and effects were really fun. My fave visual was when Brit sang "Everytime" (her apology to Justin, says my BFF and date for the night, D). The pop star was perched on this glittery umbrella chair thingy in the air -- looking like a fairy princess. Loved it.
The Britster also looked awesome -- her body is better than ever -- and she danced like the Britney of old. Though I was far from the biggest Britney fan in the crowd, I have to admit that I squealed just a tad when she performed "Baby, One More Time.
All in all, even though most of the time I pay to see someone actually sing in concert, I kinda didn't care that Brit lip-synched. The entertainment was there -- and I definitely got my money's worth.
Apparently Miss Brit has been going on "secret dates" (gotta love that term) with her agent of five years, Jason Trawick.
Jason, who is 10 years older than the pop star, joined her for the first four shows of her Circus tour. While Jason didn't comment on the relationship, a Britney insider said it's strictly professional and ridiculous to call it anything else. E!, however, is sticking by its secret dates theory.
I wonder if Papa Spears approves of Brit having a new man?
