A source close to Mimi has confirmed to Access Hollywood that the couple, who have only been dating a few months, are engaged -- and that rock Mariah was flashing at her movie premiere the other night is from Nick.

One glitch -- another source confirmed to PerezHilton.com, that the ring in question is the SAME ring Nick gave to Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks when he asked her to marry him!

There's no way Mariah knew that and let it fly.

Mimi, doing her best to always keep the spotlight where it belongs -- on her -- flashed a huge, diamond rock on her left ring finger last night, at the premiere of her new movie, Tennessee. Also making waves was the sight of Nick, who remained very close to his new love, holding her hand at Tenjune's afterparty for the film.

When asked if the duo had gotten engaged, Nick's rep had no comment, but Mariah's young buck gushed that he loved "everything" about the pop diva.

If they are suddenly getting married, they could easily give Paris and Benji a run for their money in the Most Ridiculous Relationship category.

Carmen Electra

According to her rep, Carmen and boyfriend of less than a year, Korn guitarist Rob Patterson, are engaged. Rob reportedly popped the question over the weekend, while the couple was partying in Las Vegas for Carmen's birthday.

"He told friends three days ago that he got engaged," a source told People.com. "The ring is a black diamond set in white diamonds."

This will be Carmen's third go 'round in the marriage department, having been previously wed to Dave Navarro and (ick) Dennis Rodman.

Um, here's Ashlee Simpson on the cover of the May issue of Shape.

"I never thought I'd be on the cover of a magazine in a bikini," Mrs. Pete Wentz-to-be tells the mag.

Ash says she's been working out with a trainer two to three times a week and has revamped her diet, eating yogurt and granola for breakfast, turkey or veggie wraps for lunch and lean proteins like fish and chicken for dinner.

"I try to listen to what my body craves," she said. "Sometimes it tells me to eat more fruit, but sometimes it tells me to eat Skittles!"

Nothing about pickles and ice cream? Interesting...

Ashlee Simpson continued to be coy about the possibility that she and new hubby-to-be Pete Wentz are expecting a baby, when she appeared on The Today Show this morning.

When Matt Lauer asked about the rumors (he obviously had to), Ash simply said, "Time will tell," then said she was, however, "giving birth to her new album."

According to reports, Jamie Lynn Spears and her babydaddy/fiancé, Casey Aldridge, have been house-hunting together in Mississippi. The couple, who will be welcoming their first child this summer, have already made an offer on a three-bedroom house in the town of Liberty. Their new abode will have a loft, marble floors, a remodeled kitchen and a game room.

"Jamie Lynn is really excited over having a home of her own," an insider said.

At least these kids are making an honest go at being family. I have my doubts that this will last forever, but wouldn't it be nice if it did?

According to People.com (very reputable), a source says that Ashlee is definitely pregnant and that she and Pete Wentz are planning to tie the knot in a hurry -- like next month. The loose-lipped friend says Jessica's little sis is throwing together a May wedding, at a friend's house in La Jolla, California.

Though Pete has called the quest to find out about Ash's pregnancy a "witch hunt," and Ashlee side-stepped the question at MTV TRL's yesterday, all arrows seem to be pointing to a baby bump on the horizon.

Now all we can do is sit back and wait for the confirmation.

According to a source for People.com, Ash dodged the pregnancy question, saying that if all the rumors about her were true, she "would have had a baby by now." She did, however, show off her brand new bling, courtesy of new fiancé Pete Wentz. After a teeny bopper asked to see her ring, Ashlee flashed a diamond eternity band. 

She still didn't say she wasn't pregnant.

"There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood," Pete wrote in an email to MTV News. "This is all news to me. I can't wait for the story about how I'm really in a gay relationship and this is all just a cover."

"I mean really, this is crazy...I mean we're engaged, that's true, and happy about it."

When asked specifically if he was denying that Ash was with child, Pete replied, "Yeah."

But, in addition to Us Weekly saying they have confirmation that there is a baby on the way, sources over at E! News also claim to have gotten the good word from reputable sources. The insider said, "It's very early" in the pregnancy, and that Pete and Ash just told their families last week. Then, this past weekend, they told a couple of more people, who, apparently, told some other people, who leaked it to the press. 

Coincidentally, Ashlee's new album, Bittersweet World, is coming out April 22. Do you think this could be a publicity stunt?

They usually don't use the word "confirm" unless they really know.

Still, a rep for Pete & Ash told the mag, "We are thrilled to confirm their engagement and congratulate this happy couple. Beyond that there is nothing to say."

Maybe they haven't broken the news to Ash's dad, Joe Simpson, who is going to FREAK.

That's lovely, and I'm sure she means it, but there's no way that statement wasn't rehearsed. "Pete is an incredible soul?" This is the girl who didn't know if Chicken of the Sea was chicken or tuna, and who thought Buffalo wings were made from buffalo!

That aside, I do think Jessica is a nice person and I'm sure she'll have plenty of tips for Ashlee on Ash's big wedding night, if you catch my drift.

What? You don't think Ashlee's a virgin?

"We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I, and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best," she wrote "Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. The eye-liner-wearing couple were friends before they started dating in 2006 and, last month, Ashlee was seen sportin' a sparkly sparkler on her ring finger. When asked if she and her Fall Out Boy honey were engaged, Jessica Simpson's little sis said it was more of a promise ring -- and that Pete hadn't yet asked her dad, creepy Joe Simpson, for her hand.

But it looks like Pete finally got up the nerve, because Joe told People.com that he is "totally happy" about the engagement and "so excited to have Pete as part of (our) family. We are blessed," he said.

Congrats to Pete & Ashlee -- let's hope they have much better luck than Jess and Nick Lachey.

According to PerezHilton.com, crazy in love music couple Jay-Z and Beyonce are set to marry this Friday, April 4th. The couple applied for a marriage license in Scarsdale, NY on Tuesday.

According to UsMagazine.com, the couple took out a marriage license Tuesday, in Scarsdale, NY. They have 60 days before it expires, and sources tell the mag that J & B are planning to tie the knot sometime in May, after the rapper's tour ends.

"Jay is trying to pull it together quickly and on the fly to keep it private," the source said. "They really wanted it to be private."

It's about time! These two have been together since 2002 -- nobody is going to accuse them of rushing into anything.

Tennis hottie Andy Roddick is engaged to Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker. People.com confirms that the tennis pro, who has dated Mandy Moore, popped the question to his girl last week.

Talk about going after what you want -- Andy and Brooklyn met when Andy asked his agent to get the model's number, after he caught a glimpse of her in a mag.

Tina said she hasn't had the pleasure of seeing the engagement rock, and wasn't sure if the teens would marry before or after the little one arrives.

After going through a nasty divorce from ex Craig Schelske last year, country crooner and Dancing With the Stars alum Sara Evans is trying to get back on the marriage horse. The star is engaged to former University of Alabama quarterback Jay Barker.

"The couple are enjoying their engagement and look forward to their upcoming nuptials," a rep for Sara told People.com. 

Sara, whose split from her ex husband was riddled with adultery claims on both sides, began dating Jay just before Thanksgiving last year. The singer has three kids, while her new man has four from his previous marriage. Talk about a full house!

Now the rumors have returned, as Fergs and Josh stepped out for dinner the other night with Fergie looking a little round in the belly once again. If you ask me, she probably just had a big dinner, but I, apparently, know nothing about celebs looking pregnant (see the whole Kate Hudson debacle).

So go ahead and speculate on your own. I'm too ashamed to do it myself.

I'm not sure what the deal is between Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt and Us Weekly but, somehow, The Hills stars manage to get their faces on the cover every other week.

First is was all about Heidi's plastic surgery, then it was why she called off the wedding (that may or may not be back on) and now it's a story about how Spencer betrayed Heidi with another woman.

"Spencer and I have really had our ups and downs this past year," Lauren Conrad's ex-BFF tells the mag. "I've definitely been betrayed by friends before, but I've never had a boyfriend do this to me."

She adds, "Spencer and I may differ on what it means to cheat."

So what does that icky Spencer have to say for himself?

"We're definitely on a roller coaster," the manipulator said. "I'm not too happy about a lot of things."

Here's the thing -- Heidi and Spencer should NEVER get married. Having so much dirty laundry to air before you even buy the invitations has to be some sort of indication that the marriage probably won't last past the cake cutting.

But, then again, they're bound to get at least three more Us Weekly covers out of an interrupted wedding.

"It's not true," Winona's rep told Usmagazine.com. "She is not engaged."

We didn't even know Win was seeing anyone, since she's not really out and about so much anymore. But now that the couple is out of the closet I wanted to find out how they got together -- and you know what I learned?

I heard that Winona stole him from Saks. ; )

So, are they couple planning to tie the knot? Not just yet, but it sounds like they've definitely talked about it. Ash told Fuse TV's The Sauce that the new sparkler was a promise ring from Pete, and "It just means that he hasn't asked my Dad yet..."

Good luck with getting that go-ahead. Sources say that Joe Simpson isn't Pete's biggest fan, and the dad is known to be creepily particular about who his girls spend time with.

But this should put Joe's mind at ease for a minute -- Ashlee also announced to the world that, "No, I'm not pregnant."

Sleep tight, Joe.

Um, it may just be that Mikey's kids hate their stepmother-to-be.

According to Rush & Malloy, the singer's three daughters can't stand the Desperate Housewives actress and, really, just want her to go away.

"Over the holidays, they refused to stay in the same house with her on St. Barts," a source said. "So Michael had to get a house in St. Maarten for the kids. They didn't even want to be on the same island as she, so he went back and forth. There's no way they're going to get married."

A rep for the couple even confirmed that Mike and Nic vacationed on a separate island from his girls, but say it was because the girls liked St. Maarten better.

Hmmmm. Then why didn't Nicolette and Michael just stay there?

This is one story of family feuding that rings suspiciously true.

According to the NY Daily News, Weeds co-stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Mary-Louise Parker have taken their on-again-off-again relationship to the next level and are engaged. The paper says the duo are telling everyone about their plans to tie the knot -- which is wonderful for them. For me? Not so much. So many names! And imagine if Mary-Louise decides to screw with people and hyphenates?

Mary-Louise Parker-Morgan. Jeez.

As for the coupling, Jeff and Mary (as I like to call them) are SO cute together, and Mary deserves to have a love with a good guy, after that crummy Billy Crudup dumped her for Claire Danes, while she was seven months pregnant with their son.

"She picked up a wedding dress while she was in New York for Fashion Week, and wants to move the wedding up so she is married before the bump becomes too obvious," one gossip said. "At Clive's, she just drank water."

Fergie's rep didn't return calls, but I've posted a photo from the Grammys red carpet.  Do you see a bump?

UPDATE: Usmagazine.com contacted Fergie's mom and asked if her daughter was expecting. Her response? "Nope, not at all! Absolutely positive! We are not moving up the wedding! Did you see her on the Grammys? Skinny, skinny, skinny!"
