The woman who gave birth to Sarah Jessica Parker's twins earlier this week is being hounded by the paparazzi in her hometown. In order to give the lady more protection, her local police department has been asked to step up.
So, who's leading the team to keep the surrogate safe? Yeah, none other than Police Chief Barry Carpenter -- the same guy that's under investigation for breaking into the woman's home in order to get info to sell to the tabloids.
Talk about irony, huh? She must be feel so comforted.

Rebecca Romijn and hubby Jerry O'Connell welcomed their new twin girls into the world on Dec. 28. The couple went name crazy and gave each little lady three names -- Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip.
"Mother, father and both girls are all home and doing well," Rebecca's rep told UsMagazine.com
Shock jock Howard Stern was the first to break the news on his radio show this morning.
"They had twin girls, Dolly and Charlie," the pal of the couple said. "Rebecca likes Dolly Parton, so they named the one after Dolly Parton, and Jerry got to name the other one Charlie, but his brother's name is Charlie -- and it's a girl Charlie."
Congrats to Charlie and all his girls!
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are doing just fine, thank you.
The National Enquirer had reported that the Live host and her hubby of 12 years are on the outs, and that Kelly has had enough with Mark's other women.
"There is no truth to the story. Their marriage continues to be quite healthy, and the National Enquirer should be ashamed for fabricating such an untruthful story," Kelly's spokesman, Stan Rosenfield, told People.com. "Their story is 100 percent false."
The couple, who have three kids together, are so mad that they had their lawyer demand a "full public retraction" of the story and an apology from the paper.
Tabloids can be SO annoying sometimes.
Oh boy, oh boy!
Looks like Brooke Mueller will be dealing with at least two and a half men of her own, as she and hubby Charlie Sheen are expecting twins of the male persuasion.
"We know it's boys and it's pretty cool. We're thrilled," the actor said Planet Hollywood's Prive Las Vegas on Saturday.
Charlie already has three daughters -- two with ex-wife Denise Richards, and one from a previous relationship with Paula Profitt, but the Two and a Half Men star says boys are a whole different ball game.
"It's going to be extremely different," Charlie said. "I don't know how to deal with boys. But I didn't know how to deal with girls when I had them either, so I guess it's all an education."
And, with Charlie as a dad, what an education they are in for...
Hey whattaya know! Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller are expecting twins!
People.com spoke to Brooke's mom, who confirmed that the couple will be pulling double diaper duty when her daughter gives birth this spring.
"Brooke and Charlie are expecting twins, and they are so excited," Moira Fiore told the mag. "Obviously, I am floating on air."
The grandma-to-be says that Charlie and Brooke "think the twins are boys" but aren't sure.
As for the pregnancy, Brooke's been dealing with some standard side effects. "Brooke has had all day morning sickness but is coming to the end of the first trimester so she hopefully will feel better soon. It has been rough for her."
But, even still, the good mama that she is says, "Brooke looks so beautiful. She is just glowing."

It's double the pleasure, double the fun for Lisa Marie Presley and husband Michael Lockwood, who welcomed twin girls into the world last Tuesday.
The little ladies were delivered by C-section, and weighed in at 5 lbs., 15 oz. and 5 lbs., 2 oz.
"The babies and mom are happy and healthy and resting at home," Lisa's rep, Cindy Guagenti, told People.com

What is in the water in Hollywood?
Another set of twins have entered Tinseltown, as Numb3ers star Diane Farr has given birth to two girls.
Sawyer Lucia weighed in at 4 lbs., 12 oz., and Coco Trinity, who was born one minute later, weighed 5 lbs., 14 oz., the actress' rep told People.com. The girls, both 19-inches long, were born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
"I'm so thankful that my midwife and doctor paid such wonderful attention to me and the little ladies," Diane said. "And I’m really glad that I got to 36 weeks with multiples."
The girls will be sharing the house with older brother, 17-month-old Beckett, and dad, Seung Chung.

Married just over a year, Rebecca and Jerry have been vocal about wanting to start a family -- and what a way to kick it off. The double trouble set are due this winter, and they will be the first children for both.

Someone needs to tell the Mayor of Nice to calm down.
Mayor Christian Estrosi was so freakin' over the moon that Angelina Jolie decide to have her latest children in the French city that that the dude was flashing the kids' birth certificates all over town.
"On behalf of the inhabitants of Nice, I congratulate the happy parents, the most famous couple in the world, who have chosen our city for this happy event," the giddy mayor announced, as he held up Knox and Vivienne's official documents. "We are truly honored and thankful to have them here. I would also like to congratulate the four brothers and sisters of the newborns who are true 'Niçois' citizens," he added.
Yes, we are all happy (well, most of us are) for Angelina and Brad Pitt, that the babies are here and healthy, but let's not lose our minds. I feel like even Brad, who is thrilled with his two newest kiddies, would be like "Dude, they're just babies, people have them every day. Let's not lose our minds here."

Brad Pitt is just a big softie, as the proud papa radiated with joy during the birth of his brand new twins.
In a press conference on the steps of the Lenval Hospital, Angelina Jolie's doctor said that Brad was the epitome of the perfect partner during his children's birth -- and even cut the umbilical cords.
"He was my assistant!" Dr. Sussman said. "He was perfectly calm, totally determined, very pleased to be at the birth of his children, very moved and very emotional."
Brad was a team player through the whole experience, as he and Angelina took every step together.
"They were talking, they were together," the doc said, when he delivered the couple's new son and daughter. "It was an epidural, so [Angelina] was awake and speaking and laughing. They were happy."
Angie will stay in the hospital for a few more days recovering, but all seems to be well for the newest set of Brangeloonies, Knox and Vivienne.
"Saturday was a great day for all," Dr. Sussman told UsMagazine.com. "The babies are good, as is Angelina."
I think I might want Brad in the delivery room when I have my next C-section. Think he'd do it?

More details? Angie and Brad Pitt have a brand new son and daughter, as the actress welcomed a boy and a girl at the Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France, on Saturday.
"The babies are doing well. The operation went just perfectly," Dr. Michael Sussmann, a member of Angie's momtourage, told People.com Sunday. "Angelina is in very good spirits. Brad Pitt was at her side. He was there and all was well."
Both kiddies were a healthy size, as Brangie's baby boy, Knox Leon, weighed in at 5.03 lbs, and their princess, Vivienne Marcheline (for Angie's mom), tipped the scales at 5 lbs. The babies were born by Cesarean section.
The doc told the Associated Press that the C-section was moved forward "for medical reasons" so that the babies could be born "in the best conditions." Angie is expected to stay in the hospital for a few more days.
"The mother and father are very, very happy," the doc said of our Brangelina.
Congrats to the whole brood!
I swear I just said to my cohort Jacki, "I think I'm going to run to the beach for a few hours today -- which means Angelina Jolie will probably have her babies because I'm not near my computer."

Well, she hasn't popped just yet (and thankfully I'm already back from day in the sand) but Angie has checked into to a hospital in the south of France -- and the babies should be here at some point.
"There's no urgency," hospital representative Nadine Bauer told the Associated Press. "[Angie's admittance has] been planned for a long time."
The rep also said so far, so good for the newest Brangeloonies., "She's very well. Everything is fine."
As you know, Angie is awaiting the birth of her fifth and six children, with partner Brad Pitt.
Hang on to you hats, peeps, the madness is about to begin...

Jen, hubby Marc Anthony, and the twins, Max and Emme, are currently hanging out in Tenerife, Spain, where the whole clan is spending some time soaking up the sun. Let me tell you, Jen looks pretty damn good for a girl who gave birth to two babies just a bit ago.
And, yes, if you're wondering, her booty is still magnificent.

New parents Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony took time out from tending to their newborn twins to make an appearance at the premiere of Paramount Pictures' Shine A Light, in NYC on Saturday night.
Jen, looking pretty damn good, caked on the concealer, no doubt trying to hide the dark circles from all of those late night feedings. Marc should have done the same -- look at those bags!
They should really think about skipping the movie premieres and opt for a good night's sleep.
Yes, methinks Kanye West's fashion sense these days has been inspired by none other than the late Fred Rogers, who made comfy cardigans and tennis sneakers cool attire for middle-aged men across the nation. Kanye's not exactly in that demo, but he's a celeb and celebs can make almost any look hip.

You know Catherine... At 5'8, Cat stands slightly taller than Sofia. She's also a mum -- she has two cute kids with Michael Douglas. (I'm reserving my opinion of whether I find him cute.) She can currently be seen in the film No Reservations. And, as my sister Joyce likes to say, "Catherine Zeta-Jones never makes a bad movie." I agreed with that statement... till I read the reviews of No Res. Better luck next time, Mrs. Douglas.
