Wow!

A very brave Christina Applegate has undergone a double mastectomy to rid herself of any chances she would have to deal with breast cancer again in the future.

"Sometimes I cry. Sometimes I scream, and I get really angry and I get really into wallowing in self-pity sometimes, and I think it’s all part of healing," she admitted of having the surgery. But the actress, who announced earlier this month that she was battling the disease, can say now that she is "100%" free of cancer.

"I'm clear," the Samantha Who star told Good Morning America in an interview airing Tuesday. "Absolutely 100 percent clear and clean. It did not spread. They got everything out, so I'm definitely not going to die from breast cancer."

Such a relief for Christina, who opened up to GMA about how she initially reacted to the diagnosis.

"I was so mad," she admitted. "I was just shaking and - and then also immediately, I had to go into... 'take-care-of-business-mode,' which was ... I asked them, 'What do I do now? What - what is it that I do? I get a doctor, I get a surgeon, I get an oncologist? What do I do?"

The actress' mom also had breast cancer, which led to mastectomy, when Christina was just a kid. Having the family history, Christina did what she was supposed to, and began getting mammograms at age 30.

Pretty smart -- because it probably just saved her life.

"I watched her have a mastectomy, and then I watched her go through two years of chemotherapy and eight surgeries and a hysterectomy," Christina said of her mom, who she called "a quiet warrior. I've watched this woman survive both of those things, so for me there was always that sense that I was going to be okay, no matter what."

As for reconstructive surgery she'll undergo over the next few months, Christina has managed to keep her sense of humor. "I'm gonna have cute boobs till I'm 90."

I'm so blown away by Christina's openness and bravery. What an inspiration.

christinaapplegate.jpgWhile Tracy's out enjoying the beach, let's get to dishing on the latest gossip.

Unfortunately, we start off today with some sad news: Christina Applegate has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The Samantha Who? star's rep said the following:

"Christina Applegate was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer. Benefiting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening... Christina is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery. No further statement will be issued at this time."

We wish you a speedy recovery, Christina.

amybadreaction.jpgAmy Winehouse
made another visit to the hospital yesterday, when she was rushed from her home in London to the emergency room via ambulance. The singer reportedly had a bad reaction to some medication she was taking.

"She had a bit of a scare yesterday because of a reaction to treatment," said her spokesman. "She was kept in overnight purely for observation."

No other details were given on the type of "medication" she was taking, or what she may or may not have mixed with it, but the bee-hived crooner is doing better and was released from the hospital this morning.

"Amy is at home now after leaving with her father and manager. She is having a rest."

Amy was also hospitalized in June after she collapsed at home. Her dad then said that she was suffering from the early stages of emphysema from all her cigarette and crack smoking. Apparently not one to take many things too seriously, Amy was photographed sucking on the cancer sticks immediately after her release.

The clock is ticking on this one -- she needs major help.

Kelsey Grammer's ticker is sicker, people.

The actor, who suffered a heart attack in June while in Hawaii, is back in the hospital in New York.

"Kelsey felt faint last night so he went to the hospital to have things checked out," his rep tells UsMagazine.com. "They are altering his medications."

He is expected to be outta there by tomorrow.

Nobody puts Patrick Swayze in a corner, people -- not even cancer.

The actor, who has been fighting pancreatic cancer, was seen in LAX the other day, looking strong and healthy.

"I'm a miracle dude ... I don't know why," he told a crowd of photographers and fans there.

Pat also said that he was off to Chicago to continue filming his new A&E show, The Beast.

The fact that he is doing so well is music to my ears -- it's make me feel ever more tingly inside than when he and Baby did "the lift."

Come on, like you don't know what I'm talking about.

nataliecole1.jpg
Singer Natalie Cole's past drug use seems to be catching up with her.

The singer's rep has confirmed to People.com that Natalie have been diagnosed with Hepatitis C -- which is likely the result of her hard partying ways years ago, but doctors are optimistic that Nat will beat it.

"Natalie has had a terrific response to her medication and is now virus negative," Dr. Graham Woolf, Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at U.C.L.A./Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, said in a statement. "This gives her an increased chance of cure." Sadly, the doc goes on to say that Nat is suffering from side effects from the anti-viral medicine, including fatigue, muscle aches and dehydration, but, "she is recovering from these."

Despite her health issues, Natalie is still expected to release her new album, Still Unforgettable, on Sept. 9.

Let's send her good thoughts.
