hoffhospitalized.jpgKITT, bring me some band-aids!

Here's the good news; David Hasselhoff's latest hospital stay has nothing do with him falling off the wagon and shoving hamburgers in his mouth. The bad news? The dude had a blood river flowing from his head, when a surgical wound above his eye reopened.

According to his rep, Judy Katz, Hoff's just fine now and was scheduled to be released from the hospital by Monday evening. The America's Got Talent judge reportedly had something removed from his face last week (what, we don't know), and, when the incision started to bleed, his assistant took him to the hospital.

So, all's well on The Hoff front. You can go back to eating your burgers in peace.

We told you that singer Toni Braxton was hospitalized on Tuesday due to a heart condition, and now she's canceling the rest of the week' a concerts.

“We’re going to go ahead and cancel her shows tonight and for the rest of the week,” Flamingo Las Vegas hotel-casino and Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. spokeswoman Deanna Pettit said Wednesday. “We expect she’ll return to the stage next Tuesday.”

Toni is said to be recovering at home following her release on Tuesday afternoon, but the exact cause of her chest pains have not been made public. We do know that has suffered from pericarditis, a viral inflammation of the heart, in the past.

Here's hoping Toni is better very soon!

Singer Toni Braxton has been hospitalized in Las Vegas.

According to People.com, Toni, who has been performing at the Flamingo Hotel-Casino five nights week, was admitted to the St. Rose Dominican Hospital with "an undisclosed ailment that is not life-threatening."

Toni has a history of medical problems. She suffers from pericarditis, a heart condition, and has also been diagnosed with hypertension.

She is expected be released sometime this afternoon, but tonight's show is expected to be canceled.

Get well soon!

davidcook.jpgAmerican Idol
finalist David Cook was hospitalized after Tuesday nights' performance, and treated for heart palpitations.

During the broadcast, David gave a stellar performance of Dolly Parton's "Little Sparrow" (Simon even liked it) and seemed fine. But, according to TMZ.com, David hadn't been feeling well all day, but stuck it out for the show. Afterward, his condition seemed to worsen and a medic on the set urged him to go to the hospital after his blood pressure sky-rocketed.

David was driven to the hospital where he was treated with medicine and sent back to his Idol home a few hours later. An Idol exec told the website that the crooner has been very stressed lately, after learning that his cancer-stricken brother had experienced a set-back last week, and that David had even collapsed before a performance earlier in the season.

In my medical opinion (which is completely unwarranted), it sounds like panic attacks. Poor David! But, I have to say, he's pretty amazing -- you'd never know anything was ailing him while he is in the performance zone. He was spot-on last night. Feel better, buddy!

Who is the latest celeb to check in to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles?

It's Jessica Simpson -- and no, she's not in the psych ward.

According to In Touch Weekly, Jess spent the weekend in the hospital, suffering from a kidney infection. "She checked in on Friday morning because she was feeling achy and had a fever,” a friend of the family confirmed to the mag. “She is doing fine, but she is ready to get out of there,” they added.

Jess was kept for observation through the weekend and is expected to be released tomorrow.

Get well soon!

justinchambers.jpgJustin Chambers
is opening up to People magazine about the sleep disorder that had him checking into the psych ward at UCLA Medical Center in January.

"It's an issue that I've had for a while," the Grey's Anatomy star told the mag. "It's a biological sleep disorder. Your mind keeps racing, and your body is tired. It wants to go to sleep, but it can't."

In addition to the disorder, Justin chases around the five kids he has with his wife Keisha. That in itself could send to the psych ward. Just kidding, anyway, the actor says that the two months prior to his hospital stay were just torture, and that he was sleeping no more than an hour a week (what?!).

"I got to my wit's end," he says.

An hour a week? Is that possible? I'd die.

I hope the lives of the nosy workers over at UCLA Medical Center are enriched by the info they found on Britney Spears, while digging through her confidential medical records.

According to the Los Angeles Times, at least 13 employees of the hospital are getting fired for allegedly looking through Britney's medical records, when she was admitted to the psychiatric ward earlier this year. Though the paper says there is no evidence yet that any of the workers leaked or sold the information, um, of course they did.

And if they didn't then, they certainly will now that they ain't got a job.

steveo.jpgSteve-O
is back in the news today, as the Jackass star is being hospitalized in the mental health ward of Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

TMZ.com says that he has also been charged with cocaine possession, stemming from his arrest on March 3, when he wrecked his own apartment.

According to Star, Steve is in a bad way. He was reportedly admitted to the hospital on Sunday, where he was put on a 72-hour hold, and which has since been extended to 14 days.

"Steve is stabilized on meds at this point," the source told the mag. "He was also treated for burns on his skin as if he had been putting cigarettes out on his own body."

Not unheard of for this dude -- isn't that what he does for a living?

Yes, but sources close to the prankster say that he's been spiraling downhill, with it all coming to head this past weekend. Steve allegedly sent suicide emails to various friends, who then took him for help, and watched as he went nuts at the hospital.

"Steve started flipping out", a witness said. "He told doctors he wanted to hurt himself badly. He wanted to break every bone in his body one by one."

Not that we ever thought he was stable, but this sounds like it's gotten out of hand. Hope he gets the help he needs.

Tony may have had too much pasta.

The Sopranos star, James Gandolfini, was hospitalized in New York yesterday. According to Star, the actor underwent "abdominal surgery" and is now back at home resting.

A rep for the pretend mob boss poo-pooed any concerns, saying the operation was a "minor procedure," and adding, "He is already home."

Get well, Jimmy boy -- and maybe lay off the ravioli for a few days.

We told you yesterday that Janet Jackson was fighting a nasty flu and needed to be hospitalized, and now it's being reported that the singer is too sick to perform on this weekend's Saturday Night Live.

In Janet's place, SNL viewers will get to see Mariah Carey perform on the show, for the first time in ten years. M's new album, E=MC², is due out April 15, and she recently released the first single, "Touch My Body," which will, for sure, be her song of choice on Saturday night.

Hosting the show is Superbad’s Jonah Hill.

I haven't watched SNL in ages -- since it stopped being funny -- but maybe I'll give it a go this weekend. That's if I can stay up until 11:30.

janetjackson1.jpgJanet Jackson
has been running herself ragged, doing all kinds publicity for her new album, and it looks like it's taking its toll.

The singer was hospitalized in Los Angeles last night and sources say she's suffering from flu symptoms.

"She's fine," her rep told People.com. "She's just battling this crazy flu like everyone else."

We hope Janet feels better soon, but I always wonder why celebs get to go to the hospital when they have the flu, and everyone else just lays in their bed at home and prays it will go away fast.

naomicampbell.jpg
Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been hospitalized in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

"Naomi Campbell was admitted to hospital [Monday night] to have a small cyst removed," her rep told People.com. "Following the successful procedure, she is now resting and is looking forward to getting back to work. She would like to thank he doctors who have kindly looked after her."

I hope none of those nurses rub Naomi the wrong way -- or they'll end up in a bed right next to her.

lenny kravitz.jpgLenny
"Are You Gonna Go My Way" Kravitz was rushed to a Miami hospital yesterday. The singer has been sick for about a month, fighting a bunch of "severe respiratory tract infections combined with the flu" since mid-January.

"Due to extreme dehydration and fatigue, doctors were unable to control it with outpatient treatment and advised the singer to check into the hospital," a rep for Lenny said in a statement.

Unfortunately, Lenny will have to postpone some shows from his European tour, but we hope he'll be back and rockin' very soon. Get well, Len!
