's dad and manager, Mathew Knowles, isn't about to let Miss Aretha Franklin go off on his daughter.

When asked about the B's introduction of Tina Turner at the Grammys, specifically referring to her as "the queen" -- which made Aretha mad -- Papa Knowles fired back at the Aretha's comments.

"As a manager I am not taking something this ridiculous to Beyonce. Beyonce referred to Tina Turner as a 'queen,'" he told CelebTV.com. "Not queen of gospel, queen of soul, queen of blues, Queen of England. I consider my wife a queen and sometimes call her that.  Does Aretha have a problem with that?"

That's actually pretty funny, Mat. What's not going to be amusing is when Aretha shows up at the Knowles house to settle the score. I'm pretty sure she can take Mathew. And his wife. And his daughters. And their pets.

What's so interesting about this story is that, while I was watching the Grammys and Beyonce was introducing her duet partner, I completely expected to see Aretha Franklin, because B used the term "The Queen" to describe her co-performer. Then Tina Turner walked out -- which is cool, Tina can still move -- but isn't Aretha music's "Queen"?

Um, yeah. Which is why Ms. F was a tad perturbed by how they whole thing went down.

"I am not sure of whose toes I may have stepped on or whose ego I may have bruised between the Grammy writers and Beyoncé," Aretha said in a statement. "However I dismissed it as a cheap shot for controversy. In addition to that, I thank the Grammys and the voting academy for my 20th Grammy and love to Beyoncé anyway."

That's right, Aretha! Stand up for your title! You the queen!

Beyonce's probably crying to Aretha right now, "They made me say it!"

Sources were buzzing at Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party that Fergie and fiance Josh Duhamel are putting rush on their nuptials -- because they are expecting a baby

"She picked up a wedding dress while she was in New York for Fashion Week, and wants to move the wedding up so she is married before the bump becomes too obvious," one gossip said. "At Clive's, she just drank water."

Fergie's rep didn't return calls, but I've posted a photo from the Grammys red carpet.  Do you see a bump?

UPDATE: Usmagazine.com contacted Fergie's mom and asked if her daughter was expecting. Her response? "Nope, not at all! Absolutely positive! We are not moving up the wedding! Did you see her on the Grammys? Skinny, skinny, skinny!"

Okay, okay. We get it.

Best & Worst of the Grammys

nataliecole.jpg
Green is such a bad color for Natalie Cole.

A former substance abuser herself, Nat felt the need to publicly diss Amy Winehouse's Grammy bonanza, saying that it sets a bad example to honor someone who was all drugged up while they made good music.

“I’m going on record as an artist who is able to critique her. I think she has a great talent but I don’t agree with the Grammys giving her those nods. I think it sends the wrong message, that even in the midst of her stupor of drugs she can get nominated for all these awards... It’s a slap in the face to musicians and artists who work very hard that they turn around and give it to someone who really obviously doesn’t have a grasp of what she has. I’ve been in this business over 25 years and I sacrificed five years of my own life on drugs and almost lost my life because of it. So I take great offence to almost see someone getting glory out of being in the position that they’re in. She needs to get her life together and embrace her craft. She will lose it if she doesn’t get it together. Rehab is no joke, I was there for six months.”

Hey Nat -- who asked you? The Grammys are about making the best music -- not who the best person is. And, anyway, Amy is finally getting the help she needs, so back off.

That's right -- I'm defending Amy! It feels good.

I didn't think this really happened!

Apparently, a woman at Jermaine Dupri's pre-Grammy party got so overwhelmed when soccer hottie David Beckham kissed her on the cheek, that she actually fainted!

What's even funnier is that a witness said that Posh's hubby reacted like it happens all the time! "He looked like it was an ordinary everyday thing," the spy said. "He just said 'Get her some water. She'll be ok.'"

Ha! Imagine if he planted one on her lips? They would have had to call 911.

I bet the fan pulls a Marcia Brady (when Davey Jones kissed her) and says, "I'll never wash this cheek again."

I'm sure it was a tough -- but great -- night for Kanye West, who gave an electric performance of "Stronger", followed by an emotional performance of "Hey Mama".

The superstar picked up awards for best rap album, rap song, best rap solo performance, and was listed with Common for best rap performance for a duo or group for Common's "Southside", but it was his tribute to his mom that really made him shine.

"I know you're really proud of me right now," he directed towards his late mom, Donda West, during his acceptance speech, with the word "Mama" shaved into his head. "And I know you wouldn't want me to stop and you want me to be the No. 1 artist in the world, and Mama, all I'm going to do is keep making you proud. We run this!"

Watch his performance above -- so good, so sad, so talented.

...Watch it here. Totally worth it -- especially because she doesn't slur even one word!

Finally, some happy news for rehabbed singer Amy Winehouse, who, basically, rocked the Grammys last night, taking home five out of the six awards she was nominated for, including record of the year, song of the year and best new artist.

In her hilarious acceptance speech, Amy thanked her jailed husband, Blake Civil-Fielder, by saying, "And to my Blake, incarcerated!"

Amy also gave a stellar performance of "You Know That I'm No Good" and "Rehab," proving why she is so deserving of the honors she received.

Stay clean, Amy! There's no telling what you can pull off in the future!

In what is bound to be the most touching and emotional performance of the night, Kanye West is reportedly putting together a tribute to his late mom, Donda West, to perform at Sunday's Grammys.

The rapper, who lost his mom only three months ago, was said to be rehearsing a medley of his songs "Stronger" and "Hey Mama" at the Staples Center Thursday afternoon.

Kanye and his mom were super close before her sudden passing due to heart disease and complications from cosmetic surgery, and the superstar has been doing his best to pick himself back up after the tragedy.

Get out your tissues -- I think it's going to be a soaker.

has decided that a few pesky matters, like being in rehab and getting denied a U.S. Visa, will not keep her performing at the Grammys.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the six-time nominee will be singing via satellite from London, and will also accept her awards from across the pond, if she should win.

I'm psyched to see her perform and I totally think she's going to take home at least one award.

Keep it here for all of the Grammy scoop, including the winners, the losers, the fashion and the backstage dirt!

Will Amy Winehouse be at the Grammys on Sunday? No, no, no. The rehabbed singer has been denied her U.S. Visa.

"Amy has been progressing well since entering a rehabilitation clinic two weeks ago and although disappointed with the decision has accepted the ruling and will be concentrating on her recovery," her rep said in a statement.

It's probably a good thing, since Amy seems to be doing well. If she were thrusted right back into the party scene, which I'm sure the Grammys will be, she could easily fall off the wagon. Especially if she wins -- you never know who might be smoking a crack pipe at the after-parties.

The Grammys are this weekend! Yay!

According to the NY Daily News, Michael Jackson will be in attendance to celebrate Thriller's 25th anniversary -- but he won't be performing. The paper says that the producers of the awards show wanted MJ to dance and sing, along with other big names who have joined Michael on some of his biggest hits, but the Glove One declined.

"Michael can't go along with that," says a source. "He needs more time to rehearse new versions of the songs. And everything requires new choreography."

The medley would have been awesome, with huge names performing old classics like, Will.i.am doing "The Girl Is Mine", Fergie singing on "Beat It", and possibly Kanye West helping out on "Billie Jean" and Akon on "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'".

Now, they are saying that Michael is just going to appear on stage, to show the world what a freak show he looks like now.

What a bummer.

In other Grammy news, it seems that Amy Winehouse is trying to making it to the show, as she stepped out of rehab yesterday, in attempt to get her Visa.

"Amy was accompanied by a nurse as the appointment was under supervision," said her rep She has not left rehab and remains under the care of the clinic."

He also added that there has been "no decision" made on whether or not Amy will actually be in attendance at Sunday's show.

Everyone was so looking forward to getting a glimpse at Amy Winehouse at the Grammys, either to see the huge improvement she's made since checking to rehab, or to witness the train wreck on live television. But Amy's dad says, if he has it his way, you won't be seeing his daughter at all on music's big night.

"I'm not sure the Grammys are going to happen," Wino's dad said. "I don't want her to go - I think it might be a bit too soon for her."

The singer is nominated in six categories, and was slotted to perform, but her old man thinks the pressure may break his daughter -- even though she is currently getting help.

"She's not well - that's why she's in rehab. But she's doing OK. She is getting good treatment."

What do you think? Should Amy show?

Some good news for two people who haven't had the best of luck recently.

The Grammy nominations were announced today and Kanye West and Amy Winehouse have both snagged multiple nods. Kanye, who's been grieving since the unexpected loss of his mom last month, earned eight nominations, including album of the year and rap album of the year for Graduation, while Amy, who's just been in a mess of trouble, earned six, including album of the year for Back to Black, song of the year and record of the year for "Rehab", and best new artist.

Battling Amy for record of the year are Beyoncé ("Irreplaceable"), Foo Fighters ("The Pretender"), Rihanna ("Umbrella") and Justin Timberlake ("What Goes Around Comes Around").

And just a quick shout out to my boy Chris Daughtry, whose band, Daughtry, earned four nominations!!!

The Grammys will air on Feb. 10 on CBS. Be there.

Though Jessica Simpson's body is surely a "Wonderland," John Mayer's relationship with the blonde beauty seemingly brought the singer nothing but gossipy grief. John, 29, recently told GQ.com that he knew Ryan Seacrest would ask about his fling with the elder Simpson sister at this year's Grammy ceremony, so he planned his retaliation in advance.

"When Ryan says, 'You know I have to ask you' -- which is one of the dumbest prefaces of all time -- I think, Maybe I’ll just answer you in Japanese," he explained. "And then you’ll have to figure it out." (John says he rehearsed his Japanese-spoken response for three days. It translated into, "She's a lovely woman and I'm glad to be with her.") Was John miffed at Ryan? Nah. A source tells Us Weekly, "[He and Ryan] are friends. This is something John said in jest."

Unfortunately, John wasn't quite as clever -- or cocky -- when he found out that upon first listen former Sony head Don Ienner didn't like his latest disc, Continuum. "I cried that day," John remembers. "That was a rough day. There were other things going on, and I’d quit music in my head for about forty-five minutes."

Only forty-five minutes? Cry us a river, John. Thoughts of Jessica Simpson (in the flesh) could dry any man's tiny tears.AddThis Social Bookmark Button

I hate when a celebrity nice guy tries to be all tough and gives an interview that completely goes against the image he's created. So is the case with J.T.'s new interview with Details. Though he was a gentleman about Brit, refusing to comment on her recent actions, Justin actually complained about taking home the most coveted prize at the Grammys for his Justified album. "I tried so hard to be an R&B artist [on his first solo album, Justified] and it was the pop album of the year, and I was like, ‘F*ck. That’s the last thing I wanted."

Yes, Justin, how awful for you.

But the most upsetting part of the interview for me was his whining about participating in the "My Grammy Moment" contest, where he performed with American Idol reject Robyn Troup, who got a second chance at her 15 minutes of fame. Justin said he wanted to backout when he realized how potentially disastrous it could be, but didn't, “Because I’m the nice guy who follows through on the things he commits to,” he told the mag.“But I don’t know if I’ll be going through that sort of thing again. I feel like the Grammys used me for ratings. And look at it — they were up 18 percent.”

I was completely fooled by his performance. I was all in love with him because he seemed genuinely happy for the girl and looked like he had fun doing it.

I still loves his music, and I still hope he gets back with Britney, but you've broken my heart a little, Justin. You've broken my heart.

Here's your list of those who took home the gold in the major categories from last night's musical spectacular:

Christina Aguilera is fierce. And she looks so good in that white suit. And of course girl is rockin' the red lipstick. A girl after my own heart. I'd wear it every day if I could. Most days, I do.

Lionel Richie is singing a solo right now. What year is it -- 1984? Thank god for his daughter... or else we would have forgotten all about the guy.

Thank god little Chris Brown is now spicing things up. Love "Run It." But these little kid dancers are freaky.

Grammys_CarrieUnderwood.jpg
Is she giving her new artist acceptance speech in a negligee? She just needs some of those satin high heels with a puff ball at the end. Well, sure beats that June Carter Cash green dress she just performed in. Did she buy that at a Dolly Parton tag sale?

Who knew Natalie Coles' voice was so annoying? She has like a baby voice. Never picked that up while listening to "Unforgettable." No wonder that was her only big hit... and stole it from her daddy.

Question of the night: LeAnn Rimes is still famous enough to present at the Grammys?

Discuss amongst yourselves.

Can't say that Mary J. Blige doesn't sing her heart out. Damn! My living room was shaking.

What a set of pipes!

Grammys_KanyeCommon.jpg
Well I'll be... Kanye West has a sense of humor!! While presenting best rap album with his buddy Common, they poked fun at Kanye's habit of crying and carrrying on when he doesn't win awards.
Grammys_SHakira.jpg
That's it! Tomorrow I'm starting the Shakira shake to get in shape. Those hips don't lie. Girl has moves!

John Legend is talented, but this whole little medley is putting me to sleep.

And with John Mayer now on stage... I just don't get the appeal of this pasty, puffy kid. Just don't get it.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Time for a snack break... or to fold my laundry.

Grammys_JustinTmberlake2.jpg
Dude, Justin Timberlake up close in that camera? Not so cute. We're sure Scarlett disagrees.
