You know, I'm starting to think that it may be possible that I could end up on Oprah Winfrey's show. I mean, Susan frickin' Boyle is going on! All she is is a lady who can sing! The Britain's Got Talent sensation has captured the heart of America, I guess, and now she will be appearing on the Ms. O's show on Monday.
Susan will be giving Ops a virtual tour of her home, as O's crew made their way to the singer's house in Blackburn, Scotland. Susan is currently preparing to battle for the BGT title, as the semi-final round is approaching.
Come on -- isn't this premature? Susan hasn't even won yet!
But even Ops doesn't think she can have a whole hour just on Susan. No, Simon Cowell will be on, showcasing other nobodies who, somehow, are on also getting on Oprah's show.
Ugh. It's so not fair.
Okay, I kid, I kid... I love Oprah more than anyone I know (just ask my coworkers - I don't ever stop talking about her), but I think it's fascinating that, for the first time, she is sharing the cover of O Magazine.
For the past nine years of the magazine's existence, Oprah has posed solo on every single cover. But now, for the March 17 issue, she'll be moving over (not off the page, but just to the side) for First Lady Michelle Obama.
In the issue, Michelle discusses her decorating philosophy, what she "knows for sure," her friends and family.
Again, keeping in mind my love for Oprah, is it just me or is she looking at Michelle and thinking, "I can't believe I'm sharing my cover" or is she genuinely happy?

Oprah's weight battle rages on, as Ms. O admits in the January issue of her magazine that she's "fallen off the wagon" and has gained 40 pounds since weighing 160 in 2006.
"Yes, you're adding correctly; that means the dreaded 2-0-0," Ops says.
While dealing with a thyroid issue, the talk show host says that she developed a "fear of working out," which started her on a bad cycle.
"I was so frustrated I started eating whatever I wanted - and that's never good."
And, like most of us, Oprah is her own worst critic.
"I'm mad at myself," she wrote in her column. "I'm embarrassed. I can't believe that after all these years, all the things I know how to do, I'm still talking about my weight. I look at my thinner self and think, 'How did I let this happen again?'"
Her lowest point came, she said, earlier this year when she wanted to skip an April 26 taping with Cher and Tina Turner in Las Vegas because she felt like "a fat cow."
"I wanted to disappear," she admitted.
Oprah is launching the "Best Life Week," beginning Jan. 5 on her talk show, and is committed to getting healthy again.
"I definitely wasn't setting an example," she wrote. "I was talking the talk, but I wasn't walking the walk. And that was very disappointing to me."

People would kill to be on Oprah. I would kill to be on Oprah. So, why is Sarah Palin refusing to talk to the queen of gab? Probably because Ops is a huge supporter of President-elect Barack Obama.
"I said I would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin when the election was over," Oprah told Extra. "I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta Van Susteren. She talked to Matt Lauer. She talked to Larry King, but she didn't talk to me. But maybe she'll talk to me now that she has a book deal."
I wouldn't hold my breath, but, man, would I love to see that. You know Oprah would intentionally ask really hard questions just to make Sarah squirm. Now that would be good television.
Tina Fey is doing something right.
The creator and star of 30 Rock is racking up the guest stars for her award-winning show, as co-star Alec Baldwin has confirmed that Oprah Winfrey will be making an appearance this season!
"Yes, Jennifer Aniston and Oprah. What more do you want?" Alec told Extra on Monday. "We're only on episode four!"
No details yet on Oprah's role (my guess is that she is playing herself), but Alec did give Jen rave reviews for her portrayal of a crazy stalker.
"She's so alive, she's funny and beautiful," he said of the Friends star. "She's got the comedy crazy gene. She was a perfect fit for the show."
I really have to add this to my DVR.
You'll probably want to sit down for this one. TV Guide's August 11 issue reveals the top earning actors on TV's primetime, and if you're anything like me, it might just make you cry.
Turns out that Charlie Sheen of Two and a Half Men is the highest-paid comedy star, earning $825,000 per episode. Keep in mind that there are about 22 episodes each year. Feel free to do the math on your own, but since I want to keep my sanity, my hands are remaining far away from a calculator.
As for the dramas, Mariska Hargitay of Law & Order: SVU pulls in $400,000 an episode. While this number also makes me queasy, it's a little bit easier for me to handle since I absolutely love SVU. But Two and a Half Men? Does anyone even watch that show anymore?
Oh, and for those of you wondering about the talk show queen, Oprah Winfrey banks $385 million a year. Couldn't she set up 100 more schools with that?
You know I love lists -- and the annual Forbes Power List, which ranks celebs based on their fame and money, is one of my faves. Not surprisingly, one of my many inspirations, Oprah Winfrey, came in at the top spot this year.
Here's who else rounded out the top ten:
1. Oprah Winfrey, $275 million
2. Tiger Woods, $115 million
3. Angelina Jolie, $14 million
4. Beyoncé Knowles, $80 million
5. David Beckham, $50 million
6. Johnny Depp, $72 million
7. Jay-Z, $82 million
8. The Police, $115 million
9. J.K. Rowling, $300 million
10. Brad Pitt, $20 million
I can handle this -- what I can't is The Hills' Lauren Conrad coming in at #97 on the list. The mag did name 2008 "The year of the Tween" with The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Daniel Radcliffe, Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale all making the list, but L.C.? She doesn't have a talent! I suppose I should just be happy that Heidi and Spencer didn't place.
"[It] was a moment, and it was real. I just felt that way, and I feel that way about her," he continues. "I can't even articulate it, to be honest. That feeling, that connection. Just who she is and what she means to me."
-- Tom Cruise, to Oprah Winfrey in an interview that airs on Friday, on why Katie Holmes' love made him jump like a maniac on the talk show queen's couch three years ago
More proof that everything Oprah Winfrey touches turns to gold -- her main man (no, not Stedman), Dr. Oz, is getting his own gig! According to Broadcasting and Cable, Op's Harpo Productions is in the process of developing a talk show for Dr. O, set to lunch in the Fall of 2009.
The doc, who is constantly on Oprah's show, is no slouch. He currently serves as the vice chair and professor of surgery at Columbia University and director of the Cardiovascular Institute at New York Presbyterian Hospital, and he co-wrote the best-selling self-help books, You: An Owner's Manual, You: On a Diet and You: Staying Strong.
Oprah loves to help the people she loves get something of their own. She currently backs Dr. Phil, Rachael Ray's chatfest, and is working with Kirstie Alley on a talk show. Dr. Oz will fit right in -- he's obviously smart, but he's sorta cute and funny, too.
I'd totally watch -- you?
If you want to make a comeback in television, who you gonna call? Oprah, of course!
Former Cheers star Kirstie Alley has signed a deal with The Big O, to create a number of projects for TV. On tap for the former Jenny Craig-er could be a daily talk show of sorts.
"Kirstie is a tremendous talent who is incredibly relatable and a true fan favorite," said Tim Bennett, president of Harpo Productions.
Remember when Kirstie danced around on Oprah's show in a bikini, after losing 75lbs.? She's definitely crazy, but people like that. I'd be willing to give her show a try. You?

Apparently, Oprah hasn't taken over enough of the world, so she's now acquired her own television network. Ms. O, who has the biggest talk show in the universe, her own magazine, a satellite radio channel, a show on Broadway, and owns part of Dr. Phil and Rachael Ray's television shows, has just announced that she will continue to conquer the media. Ops will be taking over the Discovery Health channel and be renaming it OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network.
And I thought I was busy.
Oprah will serve as chairwoman of OWN and have full editorial control over its programming. "For me, the launch of the Oprah Winfrey Network is the evolution of the work I've been doing on television all these years and a natural extension of my show," she said in a statement.
I'm curious to see if Oprah's BFF, Gayle King, will be starring in her own show. That lady has it good, no? I mean, I'm not hating on her -- I would totally employ all of my best friends if I was rolling in money and had the opportunity to do so. I was just saying.

First El beat out Oprah and took home the People's Choice Award for Favorite Talk Show Host and, now, Ellen has snagged the title of America's Favorite Television Star according to the Harris Poll. It's sort of a big deal, considering that Ops has held the top spot for the last five years. She's only slipped to number two -- but still. Victory for Ellen!
I can see why. I used to be all about Oprah, but she does get as little high and mighty sometimes. Ellen is so the type to come over to your house, sing karaoke with you and eat some seven-layer dip. I just think people can relate her more. And she dances every day! It makes me happy.
Who do you prefer?

For the first time, Ops is publicly backing a candidate -- and she says it's for personal reasons. "This is very, very personal," talk show queen said. "I'm here because of my personal conviction about Barack Obama and what I know he can do for America. For the very first time in my life, I feel compelled to stand up and speak out for the man who I believe has a new vision for America." She adds, "I understand the difference between a book club and free refrigerators. I understand the difference between that and this critical moment in our nation's history."
Oprah was clear in why she feels so strongly about the junior senator from Illinois. "I believe that Barack Obama will bring statesmanship to the White House," she said. "I believe that he will lead with strength, conviction, honor and compassion."
As Oprah signed on for "Oprah-bama" tour, fellow Democrat John Edwards announced that Tim Robbins and Kevin Bacon will join him on the campaign trail in Iowa.
Tell me, does it matter to you which stars support which candidates?

I absolutely love Oprah's annual Favorite Things show. All the jumping and yelling and crying -- all for happy reasons!
This year, Op's surprised an audience in Macon, Georgia, (because they have the nation's highest percentage of O viewers) with the hottest ticket in television. From baskets of decadent soaps, to blood orange sorbetto, to the most freakin' awesome refrigerator you have ever seen in your life (it has an HD television in the door!), Op's made this holiday season especially spectacular for her dedicated peeps.
You can see the complete list of fabulous gifts here, but what was Oprah's absolute favorite? The $799 Samsung Progressive HD Camcorder SC-HMX10C.
"My first favorite thing is state of the art and I carried it around with me all through Macon," said Oprah, before revealing it to the crowd.
The only way that show could be more fun is if I was in the audience. With you, of course.

But Hilary Swank put her faith in the talk show queen, and let Ops cut her hair off, on the show that airs Friday -- for charity, of course. Oprah reportedly cut about nine inches off Hil's head, to donate it to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, an organization dedicated to supporting and encouraging women who have lost their hair during cancer treatment.
"It's taken months to get to this moment," Oprah said. "It involves a two-time Academy Award winner, a sharp object, and me."
"I've been growing it for the last six months to donate my hair," Hilary told Ops. "I've been taking a lot of vitamins and taking really good care of it, knowing that it would go to a woman in need."
On the same episode, as part of Oprah's Great American Haircut show, 100 viewers will get 100 makeovers in one hour.
I'd like to sign up for that -- but I still wouldn't let Oprah do the cutting.

Oprah Winfrey called for an emergency meeting in South Africa, regarding the abuse allegations that have surfaced at her all-girls school.
Oprah had visited the school twice in the past few weeks, after allegations that one of the employees fondled a female student and that other students had been physically abused.
"I've disappointed you. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry," Oprah told the families.
The talk show queen also gave the students her personal phone number, her e-mail address and her mailing address so they could contact her at any time, if they should need anything. And the parents of the students don't seem to be holding Oprah responsible for the problems at the school.
"It's not your fault. We don't blame you," one father reportedly told her. "You trusted them. You have more passion for the school and its existence than anyone else in this country, including us parents."
Heads are going to roll.
