This is why I can't understand why people would choose to go under the knife voluntarily.
Usher's wife, Tameka Foster, reportedly had a heart attack before undergoing plastic surgery in Brazil last week.
Tameka checked in to the hospital for a "simple liposuction" and, in turn, went into cardiac arrest while being anesthetized. A rep for her doctor said that the singer's wife was "revived in less than a minute by heart massage" and put into a drug-induced coma "to avoid unnecessary complications."
Usher cancelled his performance at Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party last Saturday to be with his wife. His rep said that Tameka was in "stable condition after suffering complications from routine surgery."
How scary is that? I'll keep my fat right where it is, thank you.
"I haven't done anything, but who knows. [Her husband] Andrew [Upton] said he'd divorce me if I did anything. I'm not a spokesperson against the world of injectables. If you grow up in an environment where your mother gets you a boob job when you turn 18, what hope is there? But I didn't grow up in that world. If you're doing it out of fear, that fear's still going to be seen through your eyes. The windows to your soul, they say."

Courteney Cox has no problem telling us that she's had a little shot of somethin' somethin' in her face to keep her looking young -- but she also has no issues with telling us that it can suck.
"Botox? I think it's fantastic and also horrible," she tells November's Marie Claire. "I mean, they've come up with this stuff that can make you not look angry. But you have to use it sparingly."
The actress, who is a good looking 44, says that she's had her share of bad experiences with the anti-aging juice.
"I went to this doctor once and he was like, 'Oh, let me do it just here and here and here.' And I was miserable," she admits. "I mean, I'm an actor, I've got to be able to move my face. When people start messing with their foreheads and can't life their eyebrows, that's weird. It's not that I haven't tried Botox - but I hated it."
As for staying young for her hubby, David Arquette, Court says that he would rather her go natural.
"He loves the aging process. He thinks it's beautiful," she of her better half. "It's weird, because I'm so in love with David right now. I'm starting to really appreciate how 'there' he is for me. But in any relationship, there are times that you're disconnected. You can see how relationships end if you don't work through it."
Another reason to lay off the Botox(ic) -- how will we ever know that Court and David are happy if she can't smile?

"I've had [a] face-lift, eye job and all that stuff. It didn't help me one bit. It didn't get me happier or make me look particularly younger."
-- Kathy Griffin to Fitness magazine
Just a little food for thought...
Chelsea Handler seriously had me at "Tell us why you threw your sister under the bus." That being the first question she asks Christopher Ciccone -- you know, Madonna's brother who wrote the dirty tell-all, Life With My Sister Madonna.
Chris goes on to talk about Gwyneth Paltrow, Demi Moore, Guy Ritchie (his explanation on why he's sure Madge's hubby is a homophobe is priceless), how his sis is feelin about him these days, and how Madonna may have had a little somethin-somethin done to her face.
I can't believe I haven't read this book of juicy goodness yet. Have you? Do tell.
Getting plastic surgery is like a game of Russian Roulette in my eyes. You're messing with your face or your body, and if it gets screwed up, it's out there for all the world to see. And that's the chance you take even with a reputable doctor -- now imagine a bogus doc gets his hands on you.
Dancing With the Stars' contestant Priscilla Presley's is admitting the she had some work done by a not-so-great doc, Dr. Daniel Serrano.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Elvis' ex said: "Priscilla Presley was one of many documented victims of Dr. Serrano. An investigation which uncovered his misconduct ultimately lead to his imprisonment. Ms. Presley dealt with this matter years ago and everything is well."
This guy was later sent to jail for injecting patients with unsafe forms of silicone.
Yikes. I'm all for growing old gracefully. If we all do it together it will be an even plane. Who's on board?

Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland decided that she would gift herself with a set of new boobs so she could feel better in clothes. "There was this one House of Dereon top - I just wanted to fill that out!" she tells People mag. "[Now] I put it on and I looked so good! I'm so happy. I feel complete," she says of her breast augmentation.
Um, okay. I probably would have just bought another shirt, but whatever. Do you think Kelly refers to her new "friends" as Beyonce and Michelle?
This item in today's NY Daily News caught my eye and I wanted to share:
"Scarlett Johansson breezed past an Us Weekly reporter waiting to talk to her after an appearance on the Today show. "You have got to be kidding me after that [plastic surgery] cover you did," she snapped."
Scarlett, of course was referring to this cover, which place supposed "before-and--after" photos of the actress. Scarjo was steaming mad at the mag and told OK! that she might even take legal action over their insinuations that she's altered her beautiful face.
I guess that reporter at the Today show forgot about that.

The Grammys are this weekend! Yay!
According to the NY Daily News, Michael Jackson will be in attendance to celebrate Thriller's 25th anniversary -- but he won't be performing. The paper says that the producers of the awards show wanted MJ to dance and sing, along with other big names who have joined Michael on some of his biggest hits, but the Glove One declined.
"Michael can't go along with that," says a source. "He needs more time to rehearse new versions of the songs. And everything requires new choreography."
The medley would have been awesome, with huge names performing old classics like, Will.i.am doing "The Girl Is Mine", Fergie singing on "Beat It", and possibly Kanye West helping out on "Billie Jean" and Akon on "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'".
Now, they are saying that Michael is just going to appear on stage, to show the world what a freak show he looks like now.
What a bummer.
In other Grammy news, it seems that Amy Winehouse is trying to making it to the show, as she stepped out of rehab yesterday, in attempt to get her Visa.
"Amy was accompanied by a nurse as the appointment was under supervision," said her rep She has not left rehab and remains under the care of the clinic."
He also added that there has been "no decision" made on whether or not Amy will actually be in attendance at Sunday's show.

Ashley Tisdale, one of the stars of Disney's crazy popular movie, debuted her new look at the Z100 Jingle Ball concert to benefit Autism Speaks at New York's Madison Square Garden Friday, after having a nose job to fix a deviated septum. Ash performed even though she was still having some pain from the surgery. You can totally see that she's still a bit swollen under the eyes.
After having the procedure the star says she's done with going under the knife, telling People she "never wants to have plastic surgery again. I don't believe in plastic surgery. I really think natural is more beautiful. This was not about changing me. I am comfortable with myself."
So, what do you think of Ashley's new schnoz? I think she looks really natural and pretty. Maybe even more natural than before. Is that possible?

Scarlett Johansson is steaming mad over Us Weeky's newest cover, which insinuates that the starlet has had plastic surgery on her face. ScarJo's publicist gave OK! this statement:
“Us Weekly’s cover story regarding Scarlett Johansson and its clear implication that she has had plastic or cosmetic surgery on her nose is an outrageous and defamatory fabrication lacking any conceivable basis or proof, despite vehement denials by Ms. Johansson prior to publication. Not surprisingly, US magazine cannot provide the dates when she supposedly had this surgery, who performed the surgery, or what was supposedly done — all because there simply is no truth to the story. The publication made a pathetic attempt to validate its story by using two cover photos of Scarlett that were taken years apart with obviously different make-up and lighting, and then relying on an “expert’s opinion” (based solely on looking at the two photos) on what “might” have been done. It wasn’t.”
Scarlett is so upset that she even gave her own statement, vowing to sue the pants off the mag.
“I have always been straightforward with the press regarding my body image and I am very concerned that my fans (and perhaps even my employers) will feel mislead. Thus, I feel compelled to take immediate legal action against US Weekly.”
Jeez, she's pissed. I'm just glad we didn't include her in our Did They or Didn't They Plastic Surgery slide show.

Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher is being sued for millions, by cosmetics company Hydroderm, who says the actress is in breach of her contract with them.
According to papers obtained by Access Hollywood, an attorney for the company says Teri had an exclusive endorsement deal with Hydroderm since 2005, when she began promoting their cosmetic and anti-aging products.
The company claims the deal stated that Teri would not use “among other things, her name, voice, autograph, image or likeness to, among other things, promote, endorse, market or advertise skin care products manufactured or marketed by Hydroderm’s competitors.” They say Teri broke her end of the deal when she endorsed a lip-plumping product produced by City Cosmetics. The lawsuit states the City product is in “direct competition” with Hydroderm’s lip enhancer.
The cosmetics company is suing for $2,806,952 -- that's a lot of lip plumper.

"It seems more people who have absolutely nothing wrong with them are getting surgery," Hollywood casting director April Webster, told Us Weekly, in its new cover story.
Well, we here at iVillage did a little research of our own and checked in with New York plastic surgeon, Dr. Jennifer Levine, to get her opinion on just which A-listers have had some work done. Check out our new slide show, Celebrity Plastic Surgery: Did They or Didn't They, and weigh in on who you think had a little nip here and just a tuck there.

"Growing up I always knew I had a deviated septum on the right side of my nose, which caused trouble breathing," the up-and-coming starlet told People. "The older I got, the worse it got. I went to get it checked out, and the doctor told me the septum was 80 percent deviated and that I had two small fractures on my nose."
Squeaky clean Ash wanted to be blunt about having the procedure because she didn't want to send the wrong message young fans. "I didn't do this because I believe in plastic surgery. I did this to help my health. I literally almost could not breathe out of the right side of my nose," the pretty blonde said. "I want my fans to know the truth. I'm not someone who is going to act like I had nothing done. I just want to be honest because my fans are everything to me."
It's kind of easy to say that when you're young and perfect, but talk to me when your boobs start to drag on the gym floor.

"I don't ever say [I'm in a happy marriage]," she told the mag. "Partly because interviews are done in advance and you never know where something's going. People's lives together are complicated and beautiful and that's what they should stay. They're very quiet. Complicatedly quiet. They don't need to be broadcast.... My husband and I are committed to each other and deeply in love. That's how I would put it. We're working on staying in that place, and hopefully we will for the rest of our lives."
It's a smart thing to do -- not talk about her marriage. Look at her track record. But it sounds so much like a business deal when she says "people's lives together are complicated and beautiful and that's what they should stay." Hmmm... maybe I'm a romantic after all?
Meanwhile, she's still definitely in love with lip-plumping. No?

Stop the madness!
I already thought Janice Dickinson looked, somewhat, like a melting alien and now the "World's First Supermodel" has gone under the knife again! Us Weekly has learned that Jan has had a tummy tuck and mini neck lift.
A source tells the mag that while "Janice knows people will think she didn't need a tummy tuck," she's been complaining about "a lot of extra skin" in her pooch and wanted tighter abs. She opted for the mini neck lift as an after thought because "she might as well since she was going under."
Janice got sliced and diced by the same miracle worker that created The Hills's Heidi Montag's new curvy silhouette. Perhaps this doc also does lobotomies, which would explain a lot about both Heidi and Janice.

Heidi opens up about her plastic surgery -- a breast enlargement and nose job -- that, until now, she's been coy about. Lauren Conrad's former BFF says that she made these changes to her body because boys always made fun of her for having a big schnoz and being flat chested.
"People would say,“You have such a big nose!" And they’d make fun of me for being so flat, and say mean boy things, like, 'If you nailed two nails in a board, they would be bigger than you are.' I was tormented. And when I was older, I’d want to be intimate, but I’d feel insecure. My boyfriends always had bigger chests than I did!'"
Well, that's a pleasant image.
Heidi goes on to say that Spencer had nothing to do with her decision to get surgery, even though he has a major thing for Playboy bunnies, and that if she didn't wake up from the surgery it was still worth it. I swear!
She makes me want to vomit.

My guess is that she's joined The Plastics...

"Ever since the show ... all I hear about is my boobs. But you know me... I like to be the center of attention, and right now me and the girls, we are pretty much getting a lot of attention. I like to keep it a mystery. Let the mystery live on because as soon as I say yes or no then no one is going to care anymore."--Kellie Pickler to Ryan Seacrest on her breasts, which don't look au naturel to me

In the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar, TrAsh says:
“I loved how I looked. I’m not an insecure person, nor was I before. It’s a personal choice. I believe if somebody chooses to do plastic surgery, it [should be] for yourself, not for anyone else.”
We've been waiting eight months for a comment and that's the best she could do? She's such a schnoz -- oops, I mean snooze.
Courtney Love has literally "worked her ass off" and wants you to know it!
The rocker chick is firing back at reports that she's had any kind of weight loss surgery. Court has been flashing her newly trimmed body all over the beaches, which had lots of people talking that she had to have some help getting suddenly slim. But Court says no way -- it was all hard work. On her official fansite, she wrote this about her reported forty pound weight loss:
"i couldnt get that suregry iof i begged for it ... i got muyinspirationf rom Oprah losing so much weight on Slim Fast,. thats how i did it ... i started weight training three days go to get rid of the saggy ass and loose tummy i pln on hving perrrfect six pack by summer, and be extra strong so when i play shows ill be strong nd not weak ..."
Okay, Court, we believe you. Now does Oprah have a "get literate quick" plan you can hop on?
Britney is in the process of becoming a changed woman. And no, I'm not talking about her rehabilitated social life, I'm talking all kinds of body changing voodoo.
Britney has been back and forth to Vegas a bunch of times in the last few weeks, supposedly for soybean anti-fat injections, which is a six week, twelve session process. Also on tap for the starlet, a nose job from the makers of Trashlee Simpson and Jen Aniston's redone nasal passages, tattoo removal and, my fave, light liposuction that will change her size 6 frame to a Hollywood-acceptable size 2.
But what about her hair?! I'm hoping when this is all done she'll have enough growth to get a nice long weave. Then I smell a big David Letterman reveal of her new bod, just in time for summer.

According to Usmagazine.com, the 20-year-old reality TV star underwent breast augmentation surgery on Monday at the Beverly Hills office of plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan.
"Heidi just doesn't want to make a big deal out of it," a source told Us. "She did this for herself, and she's hoping to keep it as private as possible."
Nice try on the "private" thing.

"We sat a few rows behind her," Natalie says. "She was wearing a black dress with a silverish/metallic jacket that had an Asian design... like a bird or something. She had a huge diamond necklace on -- not a real diamond though I don't think. It was a very large piece. Her hair looked fresh and fluffy. When we were leaving, we walked out with Shane McMahon (son of the wrestling guy who has the bet with Donald Trump). I wish he and Joan would have wrestled each other."
Thanks, Nat.
Speaking of Joan, Tracy did a new feature on celebrity plastic surgery that I bet you guys are going to love. It has before and after photos of the biggest nip/tuckers and polls for you to rate if they looked better before or after going under the knife. So check that.
Eyes: "The upper lids look elevated, giving her a more youthful appearance," New York City surgeon Geoffrey W. Tobias tells Us, speculating that Simpson opted for Botox injections or fat injections to lift her lids.Nose: "Her nose is narrower," says NYC plastic surgeon Zachary Gerut. Adds Tobias, "She could have had a little thinning of the nose while leaving the profile intact."
Lips: "I had that Restylane stuff," Simpson told Glamour last year. "But...my lips are back to what they were. Thank God!" Tobias thinks otherwise: "Her upper lip is a bit bloated, an effect of collagen or Restylane."
After seeing what her sister did to her face, I think there are no limits for these two.
Jennifer Aniston was out over the weekend at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Why should you care? Well, it's the first time she's showing off the schoz since her latest nose job.
BEFORE

AFTER

So what do you think? Improvement? Is it worse? Can't even tell? Talk back.

In this week's Daily Blabber video, I take a look at some of the celebrities who may have had a little something-something done -- like Jen (natch), Trashlee Simpson, Salma Hayek, Ivanka Trump, Posh Spice, Cameron Diaz, Paris and more -- complete with before and after photos so that you can judge for yourself.
So check it out: Celebrity Plastic Surgery 2
Jennifer Aniston hearts People magazine and did a quickie interview with them about her kiss with Courteney Cox, the nose job and more.
On working with CoCo again: "We had a ball. It was completely fun. I forgot just how much fun we have together in the work world."
On "the kiss": "It's a good-bye kiss. I don't honestly think people want to see Rachel and Monica have at it."
On the new schoz:" It's funny. I had [a deviated septum] fixed – best thing I ever did. I slept like a baby for the first time in years. As far as all the other [rumors], as boring as it sounds, it's still mine. All of it. Still mine.... Short of letting everybody have a feel, I don't know what else to do."
Perhaps one of the most boring interviews I've ever read, but I know you guys love your Aniston dish, so have at it.

Take a nice long look at Jennifer Aniston's schnoz. Why? Because Us Weekly is reporting -- in their new issue -- that she had a nose job, courtesy of the guy who transformed Ashlee Simpson into an Olsen. This surgery reportedly took place on January 20 in Beverly Hills. And the reason for the nose job is that she's wanted one for more than a decade... to fix the the bad one she had 12 years ago.
Can't wait to see if she looks like a new person a la Jennifer Grey... or if this will be more of a Cameron Diaz situation.
