Um, isn't Lindsay Lohan supposed to be on the wagon?

Then why was the rehabbed starlet reportedly partying like a rock star in New York City over the weekend? According to People.com, Lindsay joined thisclose pal Samantha Ronson at Times Square's Hawaiian Tropic Zone, as Sam played deejay late Saturday night into Sunday.

According to a source, Lilo was drinking Grey Goose and Red Bull cocktails and getting down. An onlooker said Lindsay was "tossing her hair around and doing full body rolls" to the music – "even throwing her hands in the air and singing along to Madonna and Justin Timberlake's '4 Minutes'. She also sang along and pumped her chest to 'Soulja Boy.'"

Lindsay and Sam left the club together, in a black Cadillac Escalade at 4:15 a.m.

Someone told me recently that Samantha was supposed to be to Lindsay what Britney Spears' dad is to Brit -- you know, keeping her on track and focused on getting her career back.

Not so much, I guess.

It seems Eva Mendes' stay in rehab did her a whole lot of good.

The actress was out and about at a luncheon for Fresh Cosmetics yesterday, when she told People.com that she is "taking a break and having a good time" by exercising and being with her family. "The sun's out again. It's my time," she said.

Eva said that her work schedule had gotten hectic and she burned out, but, now, she's recharging her batteries. "I'm actually taking advantage of my time off," said the Hitch beauty. "You know, I had a film that was pushed, so I'm home spending time with my family, going to the gym and actually enjoying taking care of myself .... This year has been great for me because I've learned how to relax. The last three years have been amazing but kind of crazy. So I don't know, I feel grounded. I feel really good."

Yay, Eva!

richiethanksfans.jpgRichie Sambora
has had a rough go of it, the last six months or so, and the rocker felt the need to thank his fans for standing by him.

After being in and out of rehab twice last year, and getting arrested last week for suspicion of DUI (with his daughter in the car!), Richie was back on stage at Bon Jovi's Denver concert last night, where he showed his love to the crowd.

Near the end of the show, Jon Bon Jovi introduced his partner to the screaming crowd, then left the stage. Richie used his solo time to talk to his fans. "Hello Denver," he said. "I just want to thank everyone for their support. Sometimes friends need the help of their friends to get by. This next song is one that keeps coming back in my life and is current again ... ."

Then he sang "These Days."

I wish I was there.

richiemug.jpg
Oh no! One of may faves is in deep trouble.

Bon Jovi's other main man, Richie Sambora, has been arrested for DUI, TMZ.com is reporting. Richie, who has been in and out of rehab this past year, was pulled over by the Laguna Beach PD around 11:00 PM last night, when cops say they saw him driving like a lunatic in his black Hummer. He failed numerous sobriety tests and was taken in. At the station, Richie opted to take a blood test rather than blow into a breathalyzer.

He was released a few hours later. A rep for Bon Jovi had no comment at this time.

Richie had been suffering since last year, reportedly falling off the wagon after his dad died. He needs to get himself back in rehab, stat.

Update: The story just got worse, as UsMagazine.com says that Richie's daughter with Heather Locklear, Ava, 10, was in the car with him, along with another child and an adult woman. "There were three females in the car, two of them were juveniles," Laguna Beach Sgt. Jason Kravetz told the mag.

Bad news, Richie, bad news.

Actress Eva Mendes is back in Hollywood, after a short stay in rehab.

The actress, who had quietly checked herself in to Utah's Cirque Lodge for treatment of a substance abuse problem, had a nice, romantic dinner last night with her boyfriend, director George Gargurevich. The two dined at Madeo's in Beverly Hills, and Eva even felt well enough to chat with fans on her way out and sign a couple of autographs.

Welcome back, Eva!

nataliecole.jpg
Green is such a bad color for Natalie Cole.

A former substance abuser herself, Nat felt the need to publicly diss Amy Winehouse's Grammy bonanza, saying that it sets a bad example to honor someone who was all drugged up while they made good music.

“I’m going on record as an artist who is able to critique her. I think she has a great talent but I don’t agree with the Grammys giving her those nods. I think it sends the wrong message, that even in the midst of her stupor of drugs she can get nominated for all these awards... It’s a slap in the face to musicians and artists who work very hard that they turn around and give it to someone who really obviously doesn’t have a grasp of what she has. I’ve been in this business over 25 years and I sacrificed five years of my own life on drugs and almost lost my life because of it. So I take great offence to almost see someone getting glory out of being in the position that they’re in. She needs to get her life together and embrace her craft. She will lose it if she doesn’t get it together. Rehab is no joke, I was there for six months.”

Hey Nat -- who asked you? The Grammys are about making the best music -- not who the best person is. And, anyway, Amy is finally getting the help she needs, so back off.

That's right -- I'm defending Amy! It feels good.

Check out our Best & Worst of the Grammys slide show.

According to Star rag (a source one must always take with a grain of salt) Kirsten Dunst has said "Bring it On" to the Cirque Lodge rehab facility in Utah, after partying a little too much at Sundance.

"She desperately needed help," a source tells the mag. "She seemed to be intoxicated when she checked in because she was acting really erratic. She was extremely emotional, constantly breaking down in tears. She not in a good place right now, but thankfully, she's getting the help she needs."

I wonder if KiKi and Eva Mendes are rooming together in a dorm that has "Lindsay wuz here" written on the wall?

UPDATE: A source close to Kirsten confirmed to People.com that the actress is in rehab. "She's not doing well," the source says. "People were pushing her to go in there but there was no intervention… She has been partying hard for a while and I'm sure the Heath Ledger thing put people over the edge."

evamendestakesabreak.jpgEva Mendes
took a quick break from her stay in Utah's Cirque Lodge to attend to some "personal business" in L.A, according to her rep. The actress, who admitted herself into the facility a few weeks ago "intends to return to complete her treatment shortly."

The new issue of Us Weekly says that Eva had been privately battling a cocaine problem for some time. "She kept it all behind closed doors and wasn't really a mess in public," an insider told the mag. But other friends reveal that Eva has body-image issues and low self-esteem that were fueling her abuse of the drug.

It's so sad when these beautiful, sexy, talented women hate themselves so much.

Get well, Eva.

Will Amy Winehouse be at the Grammys on Sunday? No, no, no. The rehabbed singer has been denied her U.S. Visa.

"Amy has been progressing well since entering a rehabilitation clinic two weeks ago and although disappointed with the decision has accepted the ruling and will be concentrating on her recovery," her rep said in a statement.

It's probably a good thing, since Amy seems to be doing well. If she were thrusted right back into the party scene, which I'm sure the Grammys will be, she could easily fall off the wagon. Especially if she wins -- you never know who might be smoking a crack pipe at the after-parties.

The Grammys are this weekend! Yay!

According to the NY Daily News, Michael Jackson will be in attendance to celebrate Thriller's 25th anniversary -- but he won't be performing. The paper says that the producers of the awards show wanted MJ to dance and sing, along with other big names who have joined Michael on some of his biggest hits, but the Glove One declined.

"Michael can't go along with that," says a source. "He needs more time to rehearse new versions of the songs. And everything requires new choreography."

The medley would have been awesome, with huge names performing old classics like, Will.i.am doing "The Girl Is Mine", Fergie singing on "Beat It", and possibly Kanye West helping out on "Billie Jean" and Akon on "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'".

Now, they are saying that Michael is just going to appear on stage, to show the world what a freak show he looks like now.

What a bummer.

In other Grammy news, it seems that Amy Winehouse is trying to making it to the show, as she stepped out of rehab yesterday, in attempt to get her Visa.

"Amy was accompanied by a nurse as the appointment was under supervision," said her rep She has not left rehab and remains under the care of the clinic."

He also added that there has been "no decision" made on whether or not Amy will actually be in attendance at Sunday's show.

evamendesrehab.jpg
I didn't see this coming.

Actress Eva Mendes has reportedly entered rehab for a substance abuse problem. According to TMZ.com, Eva is currently in Cirque Lodge (Lindsay Lohan's facility of choice), where she has been for the past few weeks.

Her rep didn't return calls for comment.

Oh no! Get well, Eva!

UPDATE: Eva's rep has confirmed that she is being treated for personal issues.

"Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support. Out of respect for Eva's privacy, we do not wish to discuss further details," she told People.com.

amywinehousedad.jpg
Everyone was so looking forward to getting a glimpse at Amy Winehouse at the Grammys, either to see the huge improvement she's made since checking to rehab, or to witness the train wreck on live television. But Amy's dad says, if he has it his way, you won't be seeing his daughter at all on music's big night.

"I'm not sure the Grammys are going to happen," Wino's dad said. "I don't want her to go - I think it might be a bit too soon for her."

The singer is nominated in six categories, and was slotted to perform, but her old man thinks the pressure may break his daughter -- even though she is currently getting help.

"She's not well - that's why she's in rehab. But she's doing OK. She is getting good treatment."

What do you think? Should Amy show?

seanyoungrehab.jpgSean Young
hasn't acted in anything popular in ages, but the road that led her to enter rehab yesterday is slightly amusing.

The actress attended the Directors Guild of America Awards and reportedly heckled people on stage after getting wasted! According to Access Hollywood, when Julian Schnabel, director of "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly," was speaking onstage Sean began yelling, "Get on with it!" and "Move it on!" She also reportedly yelled at a video clip of George Clooney and had an outburst in French directed at Marion Cotillard. The director reportedly shot back, "Have another drink, honey."

How embarrassing -- but funny. I mean she was expressing what everyone in the room was probably thinking.

The actress admitted herself into a facility, according to a statement released by her rep, which read: "It is understood that Young has struggled against the disease for many years."

So, I'm happy to hear Sean's getting help -- and, though, her career is pretty much washed up, at least she's getting lots of publicity from her latest drunk rant.

amywinehouse rehab.jpg
Thank heaven!

I really couldn't even begin to think about writing another celeb obit this week, and with Amy Winehouse's latest drug video, where she is allegedly smoking crack and taking Valium, she was headed for a very dark road. Luckily, her label has announced that the very talented singer has entered rehab.

"Amy decided to enter the facility today after talks with her record label, management, family and doctors," said the statement from Universal Music Group. "She has come to understand that she requires specialist treatment to continue her ongoing recovery from drug addiction and prepare for her planned appearance at the Grammy Awards. She is nominated in an incredible six categories."

"Amy entered the facility by mutual agreement and continues to receive the full support of all concerned," the statement said. "Amy is the most talented and important musical artist of her generation and has made huge strides on her road to recovery. Universal Music Group wants nothing more than to see her take the time she needs to come back to full health and fulfill her incredible potential with the label."

"The label has always had the best interests of Amy at heart and has been guided by her family and doctors in the last few months as to the best direction to take. All concerned feel that Amy must put her health before all other considerations and will be by her side whenever and wherever they are needed."

The police, meanwhile, are still figuring out what to do with the very damaging video of the singer. "The video has been handed in to us and we are still deciding what action will be taken," a Metropolitan Police spokesman told People.com.

That can't be good, but at least she's getting help. Let's hope she stays there.

lilo slips up.jpg
Lindsay Lohan has slipped up -- and it was caught on video.

The rehabbed actress spent New Year's Eve in Capri, Italy and, while celebrating with some new pals, took a nice big swig from a bottle of bubbly. But Lindsay's lawyer tells People.com it was a one-time deal, and LiLo is not back to her hard-partying ways.

""After being handed a champagne bottle while on a dance floor in Italy on New Year's Eve and drinking from it, the good news is that Lindsay stopped herself, called her sponsor, and got herself back on track," Blair Berk said in a statement. "There is no magic cure here. The most unfortunate part of this is that Lindsay has to share her 'one day at a time' with the entire world."

Oh, Lindsay. Perhaps, at this vulnerable time in her life, Lindsay should just spend quiet nights at home.

marieosmond1.jpg
It's been a tough season for Dancing with the Stars's Marie Osmond. First she passed flat out, on live television, after performing a dance number on the show, then her beloved dad passed away, and now comes news that her 16-year-old son Michael has entered rehab.

Marie confirmed the news to Larry King on Wednesday. “My son Michael is an amazing young man, shown through his courage in facing his issues,” Marie said in a statement. “As his mother, I couldn’t be more proud of him. The press and public have always been kind and gracious in the past and I know they will continue to respect our privacy during this time.”

No word on what demons put him in rehab.

Maybe there is such a thing as a DWTS curse?

Who Knew john Goodman was even in rehab?
I wasn't aware that Roseanne actor John Goodman was even in rehab, until I read a report from the Associated Press that he is now out. It's unclear how long he was in the facility (Promises, of course) or what he was being treated for, but John, who won an Emmy this year for his guest stint on Matthew Perry's defunct Studio 60 On the Sunset Strip, released this statement through his publicist:

“For my family and myself, I voluntarily took the necessary steps to remain sober the rest of my life.”

I'm glad John got help for whatever was ailing him. He always struck me as jovial on the outside, but really tortured on the inside. Hopefully rehab helped him beat the demons.

Is Lindsay Lohan's Boyfriend Engaged
There's just something about Lindsay Lohan that makes people want to jump out of their regular lives and into hers. Us Weekly is reporting that Lindsay's new boyfriend, Riley Giles, was actually engaged to someone else!

Bree Tierney of Murray, Utah, apparently found out that her fiance had moved on with the movie star from the tabloids. "Riley just stopped calling Bree and never told her about Lindsay," Bree's mom told the mag. "She found out by seeing photos. It destroyed her."

Man, that sucks. You think your future hubby is getting all clean and healthy in rehab, then, BAM!, he's hooked up with Lindsay Lohan, and you are history. You just can't see something like that coming.

Samaire Armstrong Enters Facility for Personal issues
You may know her as "Anna" from The O.C. -- well, that's how I know her -- or from her gig on Entourage, but either way, actress Samaire Armstrong is fighting some emotional battles.

Samaire has entered an outpatient facility for what is being called "personal issues," but will continue her work on her new show, Dirty Sexy Money. The nature of the demons she is fighting was not revealed.

Any guesses? Drugs, booze, eating disorder, depression?

Will Lindsay Lohan Chuck it all For Her New Boyfriend?
Ah, young rehab love. It's addictive.

Okay, that was a bad joke, but Lindsay Lohan's new love has really gotten into her bloodstream. Seems Linds has told some friends that she might be relocating to Utah -- permanently -- to be with her boyfriend, who she met in rehab, Riley Giles, a snowboarder. If LiLo does move, she will also be close to the Cirque Lodge, where she plans on continuing her recovery by receiving outpatient care.

That fresh mountain air might just be the best thing for her.

Lindsay Lohan's New Boyfriend!
What does life have in store for the newly-rehabbed Lindsay Lohan? Hopefully, all good things.

The actress gave her first post-rehab interview to In Touch Weekly, where she talked about how she's changed, what she hopes to achieve in her new life -- and her new boyfriend. Some highlights:

On changes she's making: “The biggest thing is not being in LA and staying away from the nightlife. Going out all the time was very self-destructive. But there are some things that I can do to make changes and grow up. I want to act like a woman rather than a teenager. I am doing the best I can.”

On her estrangement and reconciliation with her dad, Michael Lohan:
“I think the trouble in my family resulted in me rebelling and doing things to get my parents’ attention. But all in all, it’s better for me new to have them [in my life]. It’s healthy.”

On rehab:
“It was hard surrendering and having people tell me what to do. It was really humbling for me, but I liked how I was treated as a normal person. I had to look out for myself. It’s been a great experience. I’m really grateful. Everything happens for a reason and I am in the right place now.”

On her new rehab love, Riley Giles:
"Yes, I am seeing someone. His name is Riley. I am really happy and taking it day by day.”

On what's next for her:
"I’m going to start filming a movie called Dare To Love Me. That should last about two weeks. Then, I am going to spend time with my family. I want to try something different, and do my job and see what that is like.

Advice to others:
“Just to stay true to yourself and respect yourself. Don’t do things for the hell of it. Karma’s a big deal, so treat others how you want to be treated."

She sounds good, right?

David Hasselhoff Hospitalized After Relapse
The Hoff fell off the wagon.

We're not sure if David Hasselhoff was as drunk as he was during the "hamburger eating incident," but the actor has reportedly been on a bender and has been hospitalized.

"David had a brief relapse and immediately recognized the importance of addressing it with the assistance of his doctors. He is doing fine and will be back home in the morning,” his rep Judy Katz told Access Hollywood.

The story was first reported by The National Enquirer, whose source said David was not doing well when he was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

“He looked awful when they brought him in. His color was ashen. He felt sick. It was just so sad.”

The man's got demons that he just can't beat. Get well, Hoff.

Lindsay Lohan Leaves Rehab
Good one, Linds.

Lindsay Lohan let everybody believe that she was taking a few days away from rehab to spend time with her daddy, but she pulled the old switcheroo. She actually checked out of the Utah facility, where she has been since August, and she ain't going back. Well, unless she leaves and gets arrested again... but let's stay positive here, shall we?

A few days ago, her father arrived at Cirque Lodge and there were photos of them leaving together for their make-up session. They're probably still making up (that could take years!), but Lindsay will not be returning for treatment -- or to allegedly sleep with married men in the bathroom.

Anyway, congrats to her, good luck, mazel tov -- she needs it. She's got a rough road ahead.

Lindsay Lohan Gets More Bonding Time with DadLindsay Lohan and her father are trying to make it work.

Lindsay's big mouth mother, Dina Lohan, tells People that her daughter and her ex husband, Michael Lohan, will be spending five days together at a secluded lodge in the Utah mountains.

"It can only help her recovery," Dina said in an e-mail. "It's time to mend... He is visiting Lindsay alone because we are giving her dad a chance to make amends."

Lindsay Lohan Bonds with Michael LohanDuring the first week of September, father and daughter ended their long estrangement when Michael visited Lindsay at the Cirque Lodge Treatment Center. They have been in contact since and they will begin their five-day retreat together on Tuesday morning.

Five days in the middle of nowhere with dad? I hope they pack the last month's worth of Sports Illustrated plus Uno, Yatzee, Scrabble, Monopoly and Clue.

Lindsay Lohan Canterbury Institute rehab
Her friends and family aren't the only ones using her.

This was in the NY Post yesterday, so I took a photo of it and meant to post it. It's an ad for the Canterbury Institute, which offers medical treatment for addiction. Nice that they're capitalizing on our poor little alleged homewrecker Lindsay Lohan during her time of need. Shameful!

lindsay lohan stays in rehab
Warning to Lindsay Lohan: It's not better on the outside!

Contrary to reports earlier this week, Lindsay Lohan will not be leaving rehab. Her mom, the upstanding Dina Lohan, informed Access Hollywood in an email, that Lindsay would be staying in Utah. A source close to the star also tells People that "Lindsay is not leaving Cirque Lodge in Utah any time soon. She has a few more weeks to grow and develop, and she is doing great."

Which is good to hear, because if Lindsay was out, she would have to deal with the fact that Jackass loser Steve-O told Howard Stern that Lindsay stole a stash of cocaine from his apartment, after she returned to retrieve the wallet she left.

Probably not something she wants to deal with right out of rehab.

Lindsay Lohan Slept with My Husband in RehabLindsay Lohan can't even duck out of controversy when she is nicely tucked away in a rehab facility.

A British heiress is claiming that LiLo was intimate with her husband at the Cirque Lodge treatment center in Utah. According to London's Daily Mirror, Stephanie Allen, a gazillionaire, is said to be devastated by allegations that her musician hubby, Tony, had sex with Lindsay, in a bathroom, at the clinic.

Tony denies the claims, saying he and Lindsay just bonded as pals. "We're great friends," he said. "We share a common affliction, and we just talk about life sometimes." Yet other reports say, when asked by friends about the rumors, he boasted, "C'mon, it's Lindsay Lohan. Hell, yes! Wouldn't you?"

Sounds like a lot of locker room talk to me, but you never know with Lindsay.

michaello.jpg
As part of Lindsay Lohan's recovery, the rehabbing starlet welcomed a visit from her estranged dad, Michael Lohan, at the Cirque Lodge treatment center in Utah. Lindsay's nutty mom, Dina, confirmed the reunion, saying that she approved of her ex's meeting with their daughter.

"Lindsay, myself and my son, Michael Jr., agreed that it would be good for her to have some closure with the situation with her dad. It's part of the healing process," said Dina to People.

Our friends at Access Hollywood first broke the news that Lindsay was getting a visit from her dad, reporting that this would be the first time the troubled starlet has seen her father since he was released in March from having served 2 years in New York State Prison for driving while intoxicated and other disorderly behavior charges.

Dina says that she's happy that Michael is with Lindsay, but we all know the truth. She is so hoping that the big mouth says or does something offensive and Linds cuts him out of her life forever. Then, of course, Dina can solely share in all of Lindsay's funds.
