News broke yesterday about La Toya Jackson's potential spot on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. Today, she sat down with Access Hollywood's Tony Potts to explain why she will not be accepting the show's offer.
"I've been approached to do Dancing With the Stars," La Toya said. "The fact of the matter is, I won't be doing it, simply because of the circumstances that [are] going on at the moment."
Since there are still so many unresolved questions regarding her brother Michael Jackson's untimely passing, appearing on the show just doesn't seem appropriate right now.
"I can't see myself putting myself into there right now, dancing every single day when I'm still trying to find out what exactly happened to my brother," La Toya explained. "That's the most important thing for me at this very moment."
Family always comes first. La Toya also said that she and her mom, Katherine Jackson, are huge fans of the show and watch it together. Maybe she'll be ready to take the stage next year.

The actor's representative told Usmagazine.com that he has just enrolled at Los Angeles' Southwestern Law School. Cute, talented and smart? Wife Rebecca Romijn is one lucky lady.
"He is very excited to be starting his law school education here at Southwestern," Leslie Steinberg, the school's Assistant Dean of Public Affairs, said. "He just had orientation last week, and he started classes this week."
She said Jerry chose to study at Southwestern because he was "very impressed with the faculty and the vibe here. This is brand new to him as well. He's very much looking forward to his education."
What an exciting new chapter in his life. Happy studying, Jerry!

This week, fans were growing worried at the prospect of Victoria Beckham replacing Paula Abdul fulltime next season. Although she has been a guest judge in the last two audition cities, she is definitely not looking to replace Paula.
Victoria's representative addressed the rumors today, telling E! News that, "She is not in talks to join the show permanently."
Every day it's something else with this show. Remember when it was actually a singing competition? Ah, the good days.
Don't start campaigning for Brad Pitt just yet. This morning, Brad appeared on the Today show and spoke with Ann Curry about his future in politics. Since he has been spending so much time in New Orleans helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina, Ann asked him if he would be running for mayor anytime soon.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm running on the gay marriage, no religion, legalization and taxation of marijuana platform," Brad joked. "I don't have a chance."
Ann didn't seem satisfied with his response, so she reiterated the question a few more times. Brad, however, remained firm.
"I don't have a chance," he repeated.

Tony Danza is slated to star in a new reality show on A&E called Teach. The series would follow his experiences as a 10th-grade English teacher at Northeast High School in Philadelphia.
Education officials have yet to approve the proposal, but next week they will be voting on whether or not to allow the first 13 episodes to be filmed. Last week, Mayor Michael Nutter even wrote a letter supporting the show.
Tony has already begun attending teacher training sessions with other first-year teachers in the district. Can you imagine having the Taxi star as your colleague or teacher? Would you vote for or against filming the high school reality show?

Warner Bros. studio is developing a family comedy movie about Lego, the famed building block! The movie will take place in "Lego World," mixing animation and live action to create a comedic adventure vibe.
Producer Dan Lin, who was also behind Terminator Salvation and The Departed, says Warner Bros. adopted the project because they shared his belief in "a fun factor, creativity and that imagination has no boundaries."
Lego basically defined my entire childhood. Does anyone else have fond memories of the classic building block?
On Wednesday, a judge ruled that a jury will be able to decide the fate of Blonde Ambition, Rita Cosby's book about Anna Nicole Smith's death.
Rita, a television news anchor and Inside Edition correspondent, published the book in 2007. Less than a month later, Anna's former lawyer Howard K. Stern, slapped her with a $60 million libel lawsuit for claims she made against him.
In the book, Rita discusses details of an alleged sexual relationship between Howard and Larry Birkhead, who was the father of Anna Nicole's daughter. She also claimed that he "pimped" Anna to as many as 50 men a year. Howard called these details "nothing short of explosive. Perhaps too explosive."
"In other words," he went on, "printing a claim that Birkhead and Stern had sex would be a way to make it to the top of the bestseller list, and a reasonable jury could find that Cosby ignored the inherently improbable nature of the statement in her zeal to write a blockbuster book."
After reviewing the case, the judge agreed that Rita's claims were unsupported by substantial evidence and that he believed she had fabricated several quotes.
"It will be up to a jury to determine whether this statement is as inherently improbable as it sounds," the judge announced.

Over a month after his sudden passing, Michael Jackson has still not been buried. A friend of the Jacksons, however, just told E! News that the family is hoping to buy a private garden at Forest Lawn Memorial Park for Michael's burial. Ultimately, the whole Jackson clan would be laid to rest in the garden together. "They are waiting to work out the details on buying plots for the whole family before they lay Michael to rest," says the source.
Each private garden costs around $253,000 and can hold up to eight plots. But wait, aren't there nine Jackson siblings, plus Joe and Katherine Jackson? Sounds like there are still a few kinks the family needs to work out.

Sarah Palin's family life is making headlines again.
The new issue of Star Magazine reveals some personal details about Sarah's marriage with Todd Palin. Apparently, though they may seem like the perfect couple on the outside, they're actually on the brink of divorce.
"Sarah and Todd are fighting all the time," Mercede Johnston, who is Levi Johnston's sister, spilled. "When they do, Todd often ends up sleeping on the couch at their home in Wasilla."
Mercede swears her information is true, as it was passed down to her from Levi, Bristol Palin's ex boyfriend. "Bristol used to tell Levi that her parents would argue and bicker over the littlest things, like who was supposed to take out the trash or wash the dishes."
Ooh, bickering over household chores. Scandalous.
"If they ended their marriage within the next year, I wouldn't be surprised at all," Mercede says, "It really seems to me their marriage is just a sham for the cameras now!"
I'm going to take this one with a grain of salt considering Mercede is probably totally biased after all the baby drama that's been going down between Bristol and Levi. What do you think?

Kendra Wilkinson, who married NFL star Hank Baskett this summer, made a very special announcement on her blog yesterday.
"I just left the doctor's office and I couldn't wait another minute to tell you guys..." she wrote. "Hank and I are having a baby boy, ahhhh!!!!!! When the doctor told me I was just like OH MY GOD, I'm going to have a son!!!!! Today is certainly always going to be one of the most memorable days of my life!"
The reality TV star and her hubby are expecting their son's arrival on Christmas day. How festive!

A few days ago, news broke that Michael Douglas's son with his former wife, Diandra Douglas, had been arrested on a drug charge. For the first time, Cameron Douglas' parents are speaking out about their son's actions.
"The family is devastated and very disappointed in Cameron's recent behavior. Any family who has dealt with substance abuse knows how devastating it can be," Michael's spokesperson said.
Right now, Cameron is being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City. He was originally confined to his Manhattan apartment, but broke the terms of his home detention when he asked his girlfriend to bring him a hidden supply of heroin. Wow, Cameron. Really?
If convicted, he could spend anywhere from a minimum of 10 years to the rest of his life in jail.
Ugh. Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are at it again.
Playboy Magazine had Spencer conduct Heidi's interview for her upcoming cover issue. In typical Speidi fashion, their conversation was absolutely ridiculous.
The shameless duo discussed Heidi's "singing" career, their toughest critics and the infamous sex tape rumor about Lauren Conrad and her ex-boyfriend, Jason Wahler. These two really need to get some new material. The whole sex tape drama got old two years ago!
"I was lying about being apologetic," Spencer said, "and I hate lying. And then she tried to make me the scapegoat, America's bad guy, which is an easy sell. I'm cool with that. Yes, I facilitated the rumor, but it was true. Lauren was acting like she was little miss perfect goody two-shoes while [her ex-boyfriend] Jason Wahler was trying to shop the tape. That tape exists!"
Whatever, Spencer. Halfway through the interview, Spencer began texting and e-mailing furiously, prompting Heidi to ask him just how many phone calls he receives everyday.

Brandon Flowers of The Killers has someone new to sing about! Last week, his wife Tana gave birth to the couple's second son, Gunner.
"[Gunner] is a tough name," Brandon, 28, told the Kramp and Adler radio show on Sunday. "I had to have something that combats against the Flowers."
Baby Gunner will be sharing his toys with older brother, Ammon, 2. Congrats to the happy family!
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie couldn't keep their hands off each other at Monday night's Hollywood premiere of Inglourious Basterds. Angie was there supporting her man's new flick, and the pair seemed deliriously happy together.
What's their secret? Well, for starters, Brad says they "rarely, rarely" fight.
"We both have been around long enough and have been in enough relationships to know what we want out of it (and) when we're wasting time," he said.
At the premiere, Extra asked Angelina about Brad's recent interview with Parade (you know, the one where he said that the secret stone grotto behind the waterfall in his pool is "a great place for sex").
"Yeah, well, we got a few special places," she answered coyly. "You keep it going."
And in response to Brad's quote about her being his soul mate? "That is very cool," she admitted. "Well, he's mine. It is what it is."
John Hughes' funeral was held on Tuesday in a Chicago suburb. The legendary director was only 59 when he died of a heart attack on August 6.
The private funeral was attended by Hughes' family and friends, many of whom worked with him throughout his great career. Stars like Vince Vaughn, Matthew Broderick and Ben Stein gathered to say goodbye to their friend.
Ben Stein, who played Ferris Bueller's monotone teacher in Hughes' hit film, told reporters that there was "a lot of crying" and that it was "very touching."
"We'll never see his like again," he said after the service. "He was the Wordsworth of the suburban America post-war generation. He was a great, great, great genius and as much of a friend and a great family man as he was a poet."
So sad for his family. He will be missed.
On Tuesday, Liam Neeson made his first public appearance since his wife Natasha Richardson's tragic death. She passed away suddenly, after a skiing accident this past March.
Liam stepped out at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in New York for the premiere of his upcoming film, Five Minutes of Heaven. Understandably, questions about his personal life were not permitted, but Liam graciously answered questions about the movie.
When one reporter asked Liam how he imagines heaven, he replied that he is "kind of living it at the moment," with his sons.
It's nice to hear that he's so close with his boys. I'm already looking forward to seeing Five Minutes of Heaven when it premiers on August 21.
Since Michael Jackson's sudden passing, the whole Jackson clan has found themselves back on the cover of every tabloid.
This week, someone close to La Toya Jackson told Usmagazine.com that she has been asked to compete on the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars.
"[La Toya is] in serious discussions to join the show," the source revealed.
Apparently, the bigwigs at Dancing With the Stars are 100% serious about featuring La Toya, and now they are waiting for her final decision. Lou Ferrigno, Michael Jackson's former trainer, has also been confirmed for the show's upcoming season. I'm detecting a theme, here...
"She's a big fan of the show, and being from a musical family, it would be a good fit," La Toya's rep explained.

This past weekend, the cute couple boarded a plane to Spain together, where they have since been seen acting very cuddly.
Rumors about Bradley & Renee started in July, when they were spotted on a dinner date in New York City. Of course, they denied rumors of a romance, saying they were "just friends."
Sure...because "friends" always jet off to Spain for weekend getaways, right? Do you think this match is just a publicity stunt or the start of true love?
Sheesh. The set of the upcoming romantic comedy, Valentine's Day is turning into the hottest hangout spot for young celebrities!
News just broke that Joe Jonas will be joining the cast that already includes stars like Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Patrick Dempsey, Jamie Foxx and Queen Latifah. Twilight star Taylor Lautner, Emma Roberts and Joe's ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift will also be making appearances. Joe will not be playing himself, giving him a chance to put his acting chops to use!
The movie sounds pretty romantic...maybe Joe & Taylor's love will be rekindled? We'll see when the film hits theaters!
This is such a slap in the face for Paula Abdul.
Sources are reporting that Simon Cowell's American Idol salary of $36 million a year is being raised to $45 million! A few months earlier, he suggested that he might be leaving the show, and the salary increase is probably Fox's way of keeping their most controversial judge.
Just to refresh your memory, Paula walked after the network refused to increase her salary from $3.5 million to $10 million. Now that you know what Simon makes for doing the same job, do you really blame her?

Any mother will tell you that you never wake a sleeping baby. For Angela Kinsey, this lesson came a little too late.
One afternoon, while The Office actress was home with her 15-month-old, Isabel Ruby, she decided to give her daughter a wakeup call.
"I was like, 'You know what? She's taking a late afternoon nap, she's not going to fall asleep 'til late, I'm going to pick her up and rock her to see if she'll wake up,' " Angela told People Magazine. "Mistake! My mom was right."
Isabel's tears were hard to quell, but Angela swears by a few must-have mommy items that are helpful during tantrums. Among them are the Boppy, Cheerios and a furry red companion named Elmo.
"She said 'Elmo' this morning for the very first time," the beaming mother reported, "She pointed to the TV and said 'Elmo' and I was like 'You are a genius! You will cure cancer!'"
Wow. Moms really are our biggest fans, aren't they?

Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon of The Jamie Foxx Show may have spilled some serious beans during her appearance on The Wendy Williams Show.
When asked about her relationship with Jamie Foxx, Garcelle got a little too chatty with host Wendy Williams.
"We saw each other Easter Sunday at a friend's house," she began, "and he came with his lovely daughter and he told me that he had a new baby. I said, 'Wow, Jamie do I know the baby mama?' and he goes, 'No.' Then I go [jokingly], 'Do you know the baby mama?'"
Wait, what? A new baby and an unknown baby mama? I guess congratulations are in order...
Much to the dismay of children everywhere, most of August is filled with lots of back-to-school shopping.
Jennie Garth, who plays a high school guidance counselor on 90210, is getting ready for the school supply craze with her three daughters, Luca, 12, Lola, 6, and Fiona, 2. She has one major maternal flaw, though.
"I can never seem to provide enough socks for my kids," she joked. "I don't know if the washing machine eats them or if they just magically disappear somewhere between the car and the house."
Hmm...sounds familiar. This fall will be an especially big one for Jennie and her girls, as little Fiona will be starting Pre-K. Like most mothers, Jennie seems to be more nervous than her daughter!
"I am the mom that stays in the back hiding. She's going to school where my other two daughters went to school, and they let me stay as long as I need to," she says. "It's not even about Fiona; it's about me and getting through my separation issues."
We're sure Fiona--and Jennie--will be very brave on the first day of school.

Dane Cook raised eyebrows at the taping of the Teen Choice Awards Sunday night when he made an on-stage joke about Vanessa Hudgens's latest batch of naked pictures.
"Girl, you gots to keep your clothes on! Phones are for phone calls, girl," he said, as the camera zoomed in on Vanessa's unsmiling face.
The joke was edited out of the broadcast that aired last night, but Dane isn't apologizing for his comments.
"That's the best part about being a comic, when you go, 'Maybe I can say the thing that everybody is kind of feeling and nobody [is saying].' The elephant-in-the-room moment. So, I'll take it, I'll take the hit. It's OK," he told Access Hollywood.
His joke was pretty funny, but do you think it was wrong of him to mention the pictures in front of her young fans?
Lisa Wu-Hartwell, one of the fiery cast members of Bravo's hit show, The Real Housewives of Atlanta was kicked out of her multi-million dollar home last week!
The opinionated housewife, who has a soft spot for all things related to money, lived in the mansion with her husband, former Oakland Raiders linebacker Ed Hartwell. The bank sold the couple's home after they defaulted on their loan. The house's value had lessened over the years, and though Lisa and Ed bought the mansion for $2.9 million in 2007, the bank only got $1.9 after reselling it.
Not to worry, though. Lisa's rep says, "Ed and Lisa are fine. They have settled in their [new] home, that sits on 10 acres and they OWN it!" Phew!
Now that season five of So You Think You Can Dance has come to an end, Fox is filling its spot with a two-hour special on Nadya Suleman, the octuplets and her six other children.
"It's a little bit of a train wreck, and it's really entertaining to watch," says Mike Darnell, the head of Fox's reality-TV division.
Audiences will get an intimate glimpse into Nadya and her children's lives through interviews and footage taken over the past seven months. Fox promises "emotional struggles, physical complications and financial burdens."
With all of the Jon & Kate Gosselin drama, I think I've had my fill of family-themed reality TV messes. This does sound interesting, though. The special will air on Fox on August 19. Will you be watching?

In the middle of Michael Jackson's estate hearing on Monday at the Los Angeles Superior Court, two women--Billie Jean Jackson and Claire Elisabeth Fields Cruise--stood up in the courtroom and made some interesting claims.
"I'm Blanket's mother," Billie Jean announced, referring to Michael's youngest son, Prince Michael II. "I would like all proceedings in the estate to be halted until a forensic scientist looks at signatures on the will because I believe they were forged," she said.
Claire Elisabeth made a similar claim when she told reporters that she filed paperwork last Friday declaring that she was the biological mother of Michael's three children, Prince Michael, 12, Paris Michael, 11, and Prince Michael II, 7. She also said she was married to Michael in 1983 for "business purposes."
Oh, and just in case we weren't already convinced that this woman is insane, she also mentioned that she and Michael are the biological parents of Tom Cruise's son, Connor Cruise. Because that makes sense.
Billie Jean's claims will be addressed in court on September 10. So ridiculous.
Eunice Kennedy Shriver, California First Lady Maria Shriver's mother, and President John F. Kennedy's younger sister, passed away earlier this morning at 2:00 AM. She was 88.
Eunice had spent the past week in critical condition at Cape Cod Hospital in Barnstable, Massachusetts, but no cause of death was given. The Schwarzeneggers, along with the rest of her family members, had been by her side all week.
The family released a statement earlier this morning calling Eunice "a living prayer, a living advocate, a living center of power. She set out to change the world and to change us, and she did that and more."
We know the mark she left on the world will never be forgotten. Our thoughts are with her family during this difficult time.
After being separated for eight years, Tracy Morgan and his wife, Sabina have decided to officially end their marriage.
Tracy filed for divorce this morning in The Bronx, after 23 years of marriage. No reason for the split was given.
We wish them and their three sons all the best.
