Jake Gyllenhaal played daddy to Reese Witherspoon's little girl, Ava, as the threesome took in some fireworks in Paris. The couple, who are reportedly planning a wedding on Martha's Vineyard, have been vacationing in France for the past few weeks.

What more can we possibly say about Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen and their apparent hate for each other?

Nothing, really, so I'll just tell you that their lawyers were back in court, again, yesterday, as Denise is now seeking an emergency protective order to alter the exes' current custody and visitation arrangement with their two daughters, Lola and Sam.

“She has always tried that, not withstanding her public statements to the contrary,” Charlie's lawyer said. “[In public} she always states it is good for the children to have her father with the kids, but [in private] put she is constantly trying to deprive Charlie from seeing the children. I guess it’s good for her reality show.”

Burn!

Denise's lawyer, Neal Hersh, countered, "Denise has made her position clear throughout these proceedings and her position is, all the judicial officers and the files have been sealed, but all the things have been clear. And she is not saying one thing in private and one thing in public.”

Don't you feel like there should have been a "So there, nyah!" at the end of that?

Denise and Charlie are freakin' exhausting --  I think someone should pass the reins over to Sam and Lola -- they'd probably act more mature than their parents.

The custody battle between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline has come to an end, as the pop star has agreed to give her ex sole custody of their two boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

According to Mark Vincent Kaplan, K-Fed's lawyer, it's pretty much a done deal, they are just waiting for the courts to sign off on it. Both Britney and Kevin are due in court Friday morning.

"The case has been settled," MVK told E! Online. "The court still has to approve it."

"As of this evening there is a fully executed deal memo...All the issues that would have been addressed at trial have been settled," he said. "Can't speak to the exact terms of the deal. Orders in place...will stay in place."

His legal man says that "Kevin is absolutely delighted," but this wasn't wasn't exactly what he was hoping for.

"Kevin was not [out] to get custody. Kevin's goal was to set up some kind of template so the mother of his children can co-parent," the lawyer revealed. "He said I need to have Britney to be involved in the coparenting of the kids but I need there to be a structure."

"Nobody could have anticipated the terms of events that have occurred....This was a two-year journey that will be halted at a point that is good for these children. Custody is always modifiable. If there is a final order, it means there is nothing to try."

I assume Britney's visits with her boys will continue, and they'll keep up with their overnights, but this has to be a blow to her. There is no word on how she reacted to the agreement just yet, but hopefully she thinks this is the best for the boys, as well.

Heather Locklear

has been in rehab for over three weeks now, where she is getting treated for issues with anxiety and depression, but the worst part hasn't been fighting her demons in the Arizona facility, it's been being away from her daughter, Ava.

"The hardest part of all of this is being apart from Ava," a friend of Heather's tells People.com. "But she knows she'll be better than ever, and that they'll both really benefit from this. She's feeling better, but it's tough."

Heather has had a visit with some loved ones -- boyfriend Jack Wagner showed up last week -- and the pal says the actress has improved even since then. While Jack was there, witnesses said Heather looked tired, pale, and skinny, now she seems to be bouncing back, appearing "bright-eyed, alert and well-rested," says an observer. "She looks so much better."

Though Heather wishes she could be with Ava, she is comforted to know that her girl is getting some quality time with her pop, Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora. "Heather's really happy that Ava got to spend time with her dad," says Heather's pal and reveals that she and Richie "are speaking all the time."

"They really have come through [the breakup – and are] on the other side."

Good news for everyone involved -- Heather, Richie, and, most importantly, Ava. Let's hope this upswing continues!

I would love to tell you that Shiloh Jolie-Pitt is a born star -- and that you can see the two-year-old's incredible talent by watching this preview of her dad's new movie -- but I'd be lying.

Shiloh is making her big screen debut in the previews for Brad Pitt's new film The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons. The tot is on screen for a millisecond (at 1:22), as her pops holds her in his arms and they watch a balloon float away. The shot is taken from such a distance that it could, pretty much, be me that Brad is cradling.

In addition, I almost have no idea what this movie is about from the preview -- and if it is supposed to make me want to see it, yeah, it's not working. Watch and tell me what you think.

Well, isn't Larry Birkhead just the most sentimental and thoughtful dad?

Anna Nicole Smith's former boyfriend paid around $3,000 at a celebrity auction on Saturday, to take home a bunch of lacy things things that the late model once wore in a Playboy photo shoot. Dannielynn's daddy said that he plans on using it to teach his daughter what her mom was all about -- when the little girl grows up, of course.

“Playboy was such a big part of Anna’s career,” Larry told the Associate Press.

So what exactly did he buy to complete his show and tell? A pink bustier for $1,800 and a white negligee for $1,000.

Okaaaaay. I'm sure that's not all going to be awkward or creepy for Dannielynn. Ewww.

Kate Hudson spent Father's Day with all of the men in her life. Accompanied by Lance Armstrong and his three kids, Kate and son Ryder took cabs from NYC to a Brooklyn restaurant to meet up with Ryder's dad, Chris Robinson.

A witness says the Ryder is a fan of his mom's new beau and even opted to take the ride into the next borough with Lance instead of his mom.

"There was a boys' cab and a girls' cab," UsMagazine.com reports. "Ryder went with Lance. He was very comfortable with Lance," the spy said. "He ran right towards him!"

Kate and Lance were spotted in Toronto over the weekend at a charity bike race, but trekked back to New York to spend Dad's day with their children. "They were corralling all these kids together," the source said of the pair. "It was really about the kids.

Arriving at Frankie's 457 just ten minutes after the group, in walked Kate's ex, Chris, and his new girlfriend!

"They all celebrated Father's Day together," a witness said.

Well, isn't that nice. Awkward, but nice.

Nick Hogan

, who has been serving an 8-month sentence for a DUI-crash, that landed his good pal in a coma, has been moved out of solitary confinement.

Two days ago a judge denied his request for company, but the Pinellas County Sheriff's office said Hulk Hogan's son was transferred due to the "result of routine and ongoing assessments of inmate population and classification."

Instead of spending every minute alone, Nick now gets to hang in jail with three other juvenile offenders.

How many times a day do you think those other boys ask Nick to teach them his dad's big leg drop?

Bridget Moynahan sounds like she's still got some issues to work out about splitting with New England Patriot's quarterback Tom Brady, who immediately began dating supermodel Gisele Bundchen, only to find out Bridge was pregnant with his child.

"I'm not sure anyone – and I could be wrong in this – grows up thinking, I want to be a single mom," the actress tells Harper's Bazaar.

But, just a few months after the end of he 3-year relationship with Tom, that's where she found herself.

"When you're suddenly pregnant and no one is standing by your side, even if you're in your 30s, it's a hard conversation. I'm a traditional girl, and I believe in marriage, and I just always thought that's the way I'd be doing this," she said. "For a moment, it was hard for me to accept that this was the way I was going to have a family."

Then her son, John, was born last August -- who she gave her last name (burn) -- and realized that her baby was really the light at the end of the tunnel.

"I got so much out of that," she says of that "traumatic time of being heartbroken" and pregnant. "It's golden and it's tough and it was f---ed up. But now I have a child, and it's the best thing in the world."

You know, on one hand, I think it's great that Bridget isn't sugar-coating her experience and smiling for the cameras, telling everyone "I'm fine, I'm fine." On the other hand, it's pretty obvious she would benefit from a good therapist to help her out with her anger issues.

  
 

It's a done deal.

We're happy to report that Madonna's adoption of David Banda is finally official. A Malawi judge has approved the paperwork and the Material Girl and Guy Ritchie can now call the boy their own, for keeps. It's about time, since Madge and Guy have been taking care of David since October of 2006, and after all the ups and downs they have dealt with.

"We are very happy with what the judge has ruled," Madonna's lawyer, Alan Chinula, said outside the courthouse (neither Madge nor Guy were present). "Finally the court has granted Madonna full adoption rights of the boy...It's all over, thank God.

"It is a positive and beautiful judgment that will have an impact on Malawi's adoption laws."

Happy Birthday, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's littlest kiddie (for now) turns the big 2 today. But what does one give to the World's Most Beautiful Baby (besides yours and mine, of course), who probably has everything she could ever hope for?

I would send Shiloh a state-of-the-art GPS because she is certainly going to need one to get around her brand new palace.

Seriously though, Brad Pitt teeters on "almost too freaking cute," as he totes Shiloh and her dolly around France. Dad and daughter met up with mom, Angelina Jolie, soon after, at a children's clothing boutique in Cannes. The family reportedly shopped for dresses for Shi and Zahara, and picked up nothing but white items for the twins that have yet to be born.

When asked what the gender of the babies were, Angie only replied, "I don't know yet – we don't want to know."

Lies! You just don't want us to know.

How cute are Sean Preston & Jayden James?

Yes, it is a shame that Britney Spears' poor boys are splattered on the cover of the new Life & Style, but at least we get to see them. I'm sure the story that goes with this cover (something about Britney and Kevin Federline coming together for the kids and Brit confessing her love for her ex) is less than 100% accurate, but it was such a darling shot of the cuties that I couldn't let it fly by.

I just want to pinch those cheeks!

It's only fair to give a shout-out to the cute mommies of Hollywood, as we're always quick to oooh and ahh over the cute dads. So, as a reminder to all of you that Mother's Day is just around the corner (start thinking about what to get your mom now), here's Will & Grace's Debra Messing, showing some love to her four-year-old son, Roman, at LAX.

Suri Cruise

turned the big 2 on April 18, and that girl partied like it was 1999.

Suri's parents, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes went all out for their baby's b-day, reportedly spending over $100,000 on an afternoon party for family and friends.

So, what does that kind of money buy a kid who was born in 2006? A butterfly-themed bash for Suri, who loves the little buggers, at a private home in the Hollywood Hills adorned with $17,000 in fresh flowers. Also on hand: $5000 worth of cakes from LA's Sweet Lady Jane bakery -- every guest get their own personalized cake -- the birthday cake, which was four-tiered with white buttercream icing and -- you guessed it -- sugar-paste bumblebees and butterflies! And for mama Katie, who is a cupcake-loving fool, $230 worth of cupcakes from LA bakery Sprinkles.

In related news, Suri hasn't slept in 5 days.

"It was a great party," one attendee said. "Suri was in a really great mood and loved having all the balloons around.” 

Um, my son's party at Party Gym was really good, too. We gave out candy bags.

Another Cruise will be speeding onto the big screen, as Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's son, Connor, has just snagged a role in the new Will Smith movie, Seven Pounds.

Yes, it is a little curious considering Tom and Will are BFFs, but sources say that Connor had to audition for the role -- which is a younger version of Will's character.

"Tom is so proud of Connor," says a source. "He's proud of him for really doing this on his own."

For his first time out, Connor is in decent company in the flick, which also stars Woody Harrelson and Rosario Dawson.

I tend to be skeptical when mega movie star's kids get roles in films, but Will and Jada's little one, Jayden, had a big role in dad's The Pursuit of Happiness and rocked it. Maybe Connor is just as good?

For those of you who have been keeping Michelle Williams and daughter Matilda Ledger in your thoughts, I thought I'd share this photo of the two girls with you. M&M went out for a stroll on Saturday in Brooklyn, NY -- where the weather was absolutely beautiful.

While we're sure that not a day goes by where they both don't miss the dearly-departed Heath Ledger, it's nice to see them out and about.

Richie Sambora

's recent arrest for DUI may just be the beginning of the bad news for the Bon Jovi guitarist.

According to a source from the Laguna Beach Police Dept., two misdemeanor counts have been requested against Richie -- one for driving under the influence and one for child endangerment. You see, when Richie was stopped by police last month his daughter with Heather Locklear, Ava, 10, was in the car.

So, what does it mean that the charges have been "requested"?

"All that means is the police department has requested these charges against him and it was sent over to the district attorney's office," the source tells UsMagazine.com. "It does not mean that he is officially charged, the DA has the final decision on that."

Richie is scheduled to appear in court on May 7.

You know what I find interesting? We haven't heard a word from Heather about this. Can you imagine if this was a Denise Richards/Charlie Sheen situation? They'd be taking out full page ads in Variety to curse each other out.

I know there's usually a baby in our Cute Dad of the Day entries, but I'm not one to discriminate.

Singing sensation Lionel Richie was escorted down the red carpet last night, by his two daughters, Nicole Richie and Sophia Richie, at the ASCAP's 25th Annual Pop Music Awards, where the proud dad was honored with the very special Golden Note Award.

On their way in, Lionel and Nic stopped to talk to Access Hollywood, and the new grandpa told the reporter about "G-Pa" -- the nickname he wanted baby Harlow to call him. "'Grandpa' scared me to death, I just felt like it was a little bit too adult. G-Pa sounded ... at least current."

But Nicole's dad admits that the new baby already has him wrapped around her finger. "I never thought you would fall in with 'Grandpa' so easily but, when you put little Harlow in your arms, it's Grandpa any day you want. Call me Papa or Grandpa, I don't care."
