That's right, Jon Gosselin is now hosting pool parties.
Billed as "America's favorite father," MGM Grand's Wet Republic in Las Vegas has announced that Jon will be hosting a party poolside at their hotel on August 29.
Some questions that spring to mind here:
1. After the recent photos of Jon's stomach, does anyone want to see him shirtless in a bathing suit?
2. Is Jon really "America's favorite father?"
3. Is Jon really a big enough "celebrity" to bring the big crowds?
4. How many blond girls in bikinis will Jon hit on?
As for his hosting duties, it usually ranges from simply being at the event to addressing the crowd quickly on a mic. Or perhaps Jon willl just show off his Ed Hardy duds as he'll be in Sin City with his new bff, designer Christian Audigier. Now we just have to wait and see if Hailey Glassman will join the festivities.

Just when we thought things were civil between Jon and Kate Gosselin...
Kate was careful not to badmouth Jon during her interview with Meredith Vieira on the Today show this week, and Jon did the same for Kate when he spoke to E! News, but apparently the pair aren't so calm and collected face-to-face.
RadarOnline reports that police were called to the $1.3 million Pennsylvania home of the Jon & Kate Plus 8 stars after a heated argument on Thursday night.
A source says, "Kate showed up at the house unexpectedly. It's Jon's scheduled time to be there with the kids" adding, "Kate couldn't get access to the house. She was upset." Although no one is sure who called the cops, the source says it was obvious that Jon did not want Kate around during his time with the kids.

Although he decided to cancel his exclusive interview with E! News, Jon Gosselin still felt the need to speak out about comments made by soon-to-be-ex-wife Kate Gosselin and former fling Kate Major.
In response to Kate 1.0's rather peaceful interview on the Today show Jon amicably stated that "Kate's the mother of my children," and "I only wish her the best."
He didn't have such nice things to say about former Star magazine reporter and Kate 2.0 Kate Major after she called him out as a two-timer. Gosselin said, "I'm happy that she's out of my life."
Now all Jon has to do is get rid of Deanna Hummel and Hailey Glassman and that babysitter that was spotted leaving his house at 7am and he might be on the right track.

After Kate Gosselin decided to keep it classy and not bad mouth her soon-to-be-ex-husband Jon Gosselin on the Today show yesterday morning. Unfortunately for Jon the other Kate in his life, Kate Major (formally of Star magazine), wasn't afraid to trash talk to father of eight to E!'s Guilianna Rancic.
Kate 2.0 tells E! News:
"We had plans to travel together, to live together and to be together," Major says of her whirlwind romance with the reality dad. "He made his decision in the Hamptons. He wanted to be with me."
Just last week, Gosselin reportedly said his relationship with Major was strictly platonic.
But according to Major, 26, Gosselin told her he was going to break up with girlfriend Hailey Glassman, 22, in order to be with Major, and as a result, Major resigned from her job as a Star magazine reporter to avoid a "conflict of interest."
"He told me he was going to Massachusetts to break up with her," says Major. "I know the truth. He knows the truth. Unfortunately, she did not."
Still, Gosselin and Glassman are claiming they never broke up--Major says this is a lie. "He tried to two-time both of us," says Major. "He wasn't honest with Hailey. He needs to man up and tell the truth. I'm not going to be the other woman."
Burn! Seems like Jon isn't going to catch a break from the seemingly-endless stream of women he keeps popping up with. It was probably wise of him to cancel his own exclusive interview with E! last night, but maybe he should take a cue from the original Kate and lay low for a while.
Also, why would anyone quit their job to date Jon Gosselin?
In the first part of the two-part interview the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star discussed how she's been holding up since she announced the separation from husband Jon Gosselin and got teary eyed when asked why she still wears her wedding ring.

Kate was very careful not to badmouth or say anything particularly negative towards Jon. She repeatedly said, "clearly his goals are not my goals." Smart choice, Kate. She didn't give Jon much ammo for his own exclusive interview with E! news tonight.

About a month ago, Jon and Kate Gosselin made a pledge that they would stop speaking to the media in order to protect their children.
Jon never really kept that promise as he opened his mouth time after time to talk about his many relationships.
Now it's Kate's turn. Monday morning, Kate will go on NBC's Today show to break her silence for the first time since Jon was spotted canoodling with all sorts of women. Will Kate share her thoughts on Jon's relationships? Will she talk about how the kids are dealing? And why is she doing this -- is she sick of Jon getting the final word? Or is this to help boost ratings after they declined during last week's episode?
It seems like Jon can't let Kate have the spotlight all to herself, so Monday night he'll have his own exclusive on E!. At 7 pm ET, he'll talk about the latest rumors and whatever else Kate talks about during her Today show segment. Should be interesting.
Think they're doing the right thing or should they go back to keeping their mouths shut?

In the second new episode last night we got our first glimpse at a post-separation Kate as she took her "first official turn" with the kids. And while we may have expected a whole new format for Jon & Kate Plus 8 (or more like Kate Plus 8 since Jon Gosselin barely had any screen time) the show was filled with the things that made their fans fall in love with the pre-scandal Gosselins in the first place: a unique family going through the everyday events of life. Gone were the product placement-filled outings (like the staged vow renewal in Hawaii) and celebrity cameos (like Chef Emeril Lagasse and the cast of American Chopper) and back were a charmingly frazzled mom with her eight quirky, funny and lovable kids.
Now that Nadya Suleman, better known as Octomom, has inked a TV deal for all 14 of her children, she might want to take a close look at another reality show that owes its success to a large brood--the Pennsylvania Department of Labor is currently looking into whether the hit reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8 is complying with the state's child labor law. All of this underscores an important issue that tends to slip through the tabloid headlines. If publicity-hungry parents aren't always looking out for their kids best interests, who is? 
It's Kate! It's Hailey! It's a different Kate! It's Michael Lohan!
How does Jon Gosselin keep all his admirers straight?
Well, he doesn't. It seems like Jon doesn't even know who he's dating.
"At this point ... I'm single - per se," he told People.com at the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge at Blue Star Jets Field on Saturday. "I'm just a regular guy who just wants to have friendship and good times. And I like meeting people."
As for his relationship with Hailey Glassman, "She's always a good friend of mine," he said. "Her family is so good. They took me in and I lived there for a while. I love them to death."
But, Jon says, they ARE ON A BREAK!
"She doesn't like this [craziness]. She loves me for who I am and not for what I do," he says. "We are going to chill out for a while and see where it takes us. I'm not looking for anyone."
As for Kate Major, the former Star magazine reporter who quit her job because she had "fallen" for Jon, he says, "We are just friends."
Um, ouch!
But don't think Jon is just making female friends -- nope, he's hangin' with his new bud Michael Lohan, who is assuring the press that Jon is a good guy who wants to make nice with his ex, Kate Gosselin.
"He would love to be friends with her," Lindsay's dad said of the parents. "They had eight kids and he would like to work things out the right way and just be friends."
Word to the wise, Jon -- do not take any "How to be Friends with Your Ex" advice from Michael.
That's the bare hand of Kate Gosselin, friends.
Yes, the newly-single mom of eight has finally taken off her wedding ring -- which is really a good thing, considering her ex, Jon Gosselin, has already gone through three new girlfriends.
Kate's been spending most of her time with the kids, but we think it's time she gets all fancied up for a hot date.
Hmmmm, is Bret Michaels free? I bet Kate could use a good Rock of Love.

Really? Is this what we need in this world? A reality show starring Jon Gosselin?
Why not, right? Everybody else is doing it.
Personally, I think this Jon's way of sticking it to Kate, who always ran the show in their house. Now he's all like "I've got women, I'm in control, and now I'm going to be the star!"
"Jon has a lot of things going on now with his career," a friend of the dad of eight told E! News. "Of course his main concern is his children, but he is focusing on his private and his professional life. He is looking into some major international endorsement deals and it looks like he is going to have his own show."
In the meantime, Jon still has work to do for TLC -- he has 30 episodes left to tape of Jon & Kate Plus 8 -- before he can think about heading out to The Hills to have drinks with Heidi & Spencer.
Would you watch a show starring just Jon?
Here's a newsflash -- Jon Gosselin's new girlfriend may be a bit delusional. Though she says she would have never thought she and the dad of eight would be together, now it sounds like she's writing a romance novel about it.
Hailey Glassman talked to People about her new relationship with the reality TV star, and it seems that the 22-year-old is only seeing sunshine and flowers. She says that she fell for Jon when he began staying with her family -- after his split from Kate, of course.
"He was so strong," Hailey gushed. "I admired him."
"We're always laughing and joking," Hailey said of her month-old relationship. "We watch movies, play pool and ping pong. We laugh a lot because I beat him at everything."
"He's a great cook," she continues. "He cooks roasted veggies with special seasoning and sauces, and he grills pineapple with a butter concoction."
Ooooh, a butter concoction!
As for her family, Hailey says Jon is already a permanent fixture. "They love him," she says of her parents. "They think of him as part of the family. They think things happen for a reason. The most important thing is if someone fits in with my family ... This is perfect. It just fits."
Perfect is an interesting way to describe this situation.
Here's a thought -- let's just say this does work out between them and they get married (just humor me). Hailey's young, she's probably going to want children of her own, but will Jon? He's already got eight!
Or what if Jon and/or Kate married someone else with a bunch of kids? It would be like The Brady Bunch on steroids!
Here's something to ponder.
Date.com, Matchmaker.com, and Amor.com got together and polled their users on if they would date someone with eight children or more a la Jon & Kate Gosselin.
As it turns out, men are a lot less likely to ask for your digits if you've got 16 feet to buy shoes for. Yup, 19 percent of women said they would date a man even if he had eight or more kids, compared to only 3.2 percent of men.

We've all got the idea that Jon Gosselin practically ran out of his house and straight into the arms of his girlfriend the minute Kate filed the divorce papers, but a source close to the couple says that's not exactly how it went down.
According to the insider, Jon and Kate were way over before any kind of legalities were taken, and Jon didn't start dating until his marriage was really kaput.
"[Kate] said she wanted her life. She said she was done. It came out of the blue," the friend blabbed.
"Jon was heartbroken, totally heartbroken. Kate told him to take a hike."
So, Jon began sleeping on the couch and heading out to bars. As things got worse, the dad of eight reportedly leaned on friend Dr. Lawrence Glassman, who performed Kate's tummy tuck. And, when his daughter, Hailey, returned home on May 4, she found Jon hanging with her fam. And so began their friendship -- which supposedly didn't blossom until anything more until the divorce papers were filed.
As for the rumors that Jon was sleeping with teacher Deanna Hummel, this same source says there was never an affair -- Jon and Deanna were just friends.
Sounds to me like this source's name might rhyme with Shmailey Shmassman.

Jon Gosselin's new girlfriend Hailey Glassman was obviously unprepared for her sudden "stardom" (we use that term lightly) as her past indiscretions and questionable Facebook photos have been widely distributed all over the Web.
Since we feel bad for Hailey (well, not really) we've compiled a list of the 7 Tips for Going from Civilian to Celebrity. If you or someone you love is thinking of dating a celebrity or going on a reality show make sure you forward them this checklist first.
I'm already sick of Jon Gosselin and his new girlfriend -- and we've only known about her for like 3 days.
Interestingly enough she's managed to get herself on the cover of the new People -- and she's managed to get Jon talking all about her.
"Hailey and I have been family friends for several years and only very recently began dating," Jon reveals to the mag. "What began as friendship has grown into something more. I genuinely enjoy spending time with her. It's nice to be with someone who I can confide in and trust and who accepts me for who I am." Can someone say "ouch!"? Jon is also trying to make us believe that he is slightly tortured by the media attention poor little Hailey is going to get by dating someone of his reality TV caliber. "I know that my decision to appear publicly with Hailey this weekend will be scrutinized, but I hope that people can see I'm a regular guy who is going through a very difficult time in [my] life and wants to move forward." And FYI, though In Touch is saying that Jon & Hailey are talking marriage already, the soon-to-be designer says it's really not that serious. "No. We're just having a cool time and enjoying each other," Jon said. The words "enjoying each other" makes me throw up a little in mouth.
UPDATE: A "source" for E! Online says that Jon has actually bought a ring for Hailey and the two are engaged -- but, of course, it's all totally on the down-low.
Right!
"They're engaged but nobody is allowed to say. They've been warned to keep it secret," the very-trusty insider said.
Take this whole thing with a grain of salt, people. Until we see Kate shopping for eight little ring bearer outfits, I won't be holding my breath.
My hilarious cohort Jacki has brought this photo of Jon Gosselin to my attention and has come up with two possible scenarios for this scene:
1) Jon is attempting to take his celebrity to the next level by becoming the next pregnant man.
2) Hailey Glassman, Jon's new plaything and daughter of Kate Gosselin's plastic surgeon, is giving her man a consultation for his tummy tuck.

While Jon Gosselin is parading his new chickie around the French Riviera, his former counterpart just doesn't seem to be moving on as quickly.
We've all seen the interaction between Jon & Kate Gosselin on TLC's Jon & Kate Plus 8 -- and it always looked like Kate, well, um, hated her husband. So, why is she still wearing her wedding ring?
Their divorce is in motion, Jon is getting his kicks with his smoked up girlfriend, yet Kate has yet to make the move and get rid of the symbol of their union.
Could it be? Could Kate be, gasp!, sentimental?!

Jon Gosselin may be using his new 22-year-old-girlfriend for something more than sex!
According to E! Online, Jon wined and dined Hailey Glassman in St.-Tropez on designer Christian Audigier's tab on Saturday, but then ditched her when the sun went down.
"Jon was attentive with Hailey, pouring her drinks of water, as it was well over 100 degrees, but was listening intently to Christian," says a restaurant staffer, of the threesome's lunch. "They were holding hands...it was sweet."
But when it got dark, Jon left Hailey at the hotel and met up the Ed Hardy designer to party, um, hearty.
"Their bill there could have been as much as $50,000," said a source at nightclub Les Caves du Roy, where the boys drank champagne into the early morning light. "They looked like they were having a lot of fun."
On Sunday, Jon did it all over again, shopping with Hailey during the day and going out with the guys at night.
So, are Jon and Christian like the new Paris and Nicole?
Well, it's likely just business.
Christian told E! that all this partying is part of the deal he and Jon are putting together.
"The Gosselin kids are going to model the clothes we have designed," said Christian. "They'll be involved in the project...it will be fun for them."
And, while Jon is getting comfortable with the idea of using his kids to make more money, it looks like he's also using his new chick to get some press.
"Jon coming on his own or Christian meeting him at an office in L.A. is not going to get them that much coverage," an insider said. "Jon walking around St.-Tropez in an Ed Hardy T-shirt with a new girlfriend on his arm is going to get them extra press inches, which is what they want."
Ugh. The vomit factor is rising at a rapid rate.

Jon Gosselin's new girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, a mere 22-years-young, is already getting put through the media ringer. UsMagazine.com has uncovered a mug shot of the lass, which was taken back in 2005, after Hailey was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Hailey was hanging with a bunch of friends outside an Indiana University dorm when cops saw the group "passing a pipe back and forth, which is consistent with marijuana." A rep for the UI police dept said Hailey was caught with three grams and tested positive for THC.
Jon's new girl got off easy -- the case was settled out of court and she just paid some fines and was put on probation -- but Jon's ex, Kate Gosselin, must be having a field day with this info.
I can see it now -- Jon brings Hailey over to the house to meet the kids and Kate says, "Can I get you anything? Some water? Some Twinkies? You must have the munchies!"
And, if this isn't enough, while Hailey is enjoying the French Riviera with her new man, her Facebook page has been raided by the blogosphere. Photos of her posing with a pipe, lighting something that looks like a blunt, and a pic of her huddled in the corner behind a plant, have been exposed. Oh yeah, and she's also changed her relationship status to "in a relationship." Just FYI.
